Have visited many times as two of my sons have attended Sacred Heart University nearby. The food at Old Post Tavern is always spot on. The service consistently exceptional. We find ourselves returning there almost every time we visit our sons at SHU. The French Onion Soup is almost a required selection each visit (it is that good!) and I also highly recommend the Salmon BLT.

Happened on this restaurant with my wife and grandchildren on a Monday. Since all the other restaurants seemed to be closed, that they wanted to try. So, we stopped in here. I loved the Raw bar sampled all the offerings. The kids were crazy about the Nacho appetizer with steak. All the food was served in nice order. All our entrees came together and hot. Hats off to the kitchen. We went again with another couple last week. Same great food and service. I want to go back for Wed. $1 clams and oyster raw bar or Seafood Paella. Hope that is a regular weekly Wed. thing, so I can enjoy the raw bar again. Will be back for sure.

Good food and good atmosphere (outside). Pear and Gorgonzola salad was great. Ordered an appetizer, but it never came. Didn’t see the waitress until our food came, so just never asked about. Otherwise a good experience.

Old Post – you should be embarrassed this left the kitchen. I was looking forward to a good eggs benedict. Got one small piece of meat that was 1/4 the size of the english muffin and it was not great quality either. If you want to produce food of this quality and quantity, cut your prices big time! I purposely ordered from you guys instead of a diner and got diner quality (maybe even worse).

I just ordered scallops risotto for pickup and the portion was ridiculously small. We called the restaurant back and the manager Patrick was no help at all. Did not apologize and said that the market price is high and that is the reason that we only received 3 scallops. Never again.

Delicious food and drinks with good service. I had the meatballs & marinara, guacamole with tortilla chips and a margarita. Everything was very good and the waiter was attentive. We finished in time to make our show at FTC.
