The Rapp had a good variety of beer on tap and i don’t mean 10 IPAs of varying hopiness! The place was pretty packed so we sat at the bar in probably the most comfy bar seats i have ever sat in. I ordered the gyro and my wife ordered the ahi tuna taco. The gyro was ok but the pita was stale and falling apart. But the ahi tuna tacos were fantastic. The tuna was very fresh and a nice touch were the crushed wasabi peas on top. I’ll definitely try them again!

One of Northern Necks best for craft beers and cocktails. Huge fan of the Flatbread and anyone who puts no onions on it 😉 and some of the best rotating specials for any food establishment around here. Shout out to Alex, Megan, Jay, and Adam making the atmosphere what it is in there. Fried rice, crab dip, pork bellies, and the Country fried steak specials are the best.

Hidden gem of mid-east VA! Awesome food without the frills, and a well curated beer selection with a wide range of options without being overwhelming. Great attention from the whole staff and fast food service. Tried the fried chicken sliders and fried banana peppers… The combo was great all around. Do yourself a favor and come here for a great pour, fast/friendly service, and some well prepared noshery!

The food was absolutely delicious! The bartender, Alex turned our mood around. At first, the customer service was bad. No acknowledgement that we were even there for 5 minutes. Then we had about a 35 minute wait. But, the bar kept us happy. Once seated our waitress was personable. She admitted to forgetting somethings, but quickly made it right. The cook/ manager came out after our meal to talk to us. By the end of the night we were well feed and happy. We will be returning!

This place was very good. We had wings, ahi tuna tacos, and Taphouse burger. Wings could have used a little extra crunch and a tiny bit more sauce but were not bad by any stretch of the imagination. Tacos were excellent and the burger was excellent. Perfectly cooked and juicy. Tacos and burger were well seasoned and had good flavor. Wait staff was well versed in beers, if they ran out of what I was drinking they would stop by and ask what I’d rather have instead and we’re able to give very good suggestions on what was comparable to what I had been drinking.

So happy we stopped here instead of our first and second choices! Husband says it has both a good variety and a good quality of beers. You’re allowed to choose any four of the on-tap selections for a well-priced flight, 11 options today! We were easily talked into one of today’s Starter specials, seared ahi tuna with crispy wonton squares, “tapamole,” and balsamic glaze. Perfectly, I mean perfectly! cooked tuna, but, oh, that not-guacamole, nice! Had to give up and ask what the other main ingredient was. I was floored, it was a food item I’ve long hated. Have fun and try to guess it yourself if it’s available, lol. Hub got the brisket tacos, three full-sized tacos he describes as definitely worth repeating. Mine was a pulled pork sandwich with a very well-balanced ketchup-style N.C. sauce. Both meats smoked on site and were very tasty. My pick of the litter, food-wise, was a tie between the barbecue sauce and the tuna-everthing-on-the-plate Starter. But everything, down to the coleslaw, was great!

The BEST New Years Eve filet ever. Year after year. My wife and I frequent the Ole Rapp Tapp house multiple times a week. They have the best food in 3 counties. The staff is always great. Thanks for being apart of the NNK. Just had our 26th wedding Anniversary dinner there. It was great. The folks her make you feel like family. Thanks for another awesome night.
