I come here at least once a week! Love this place! Bagels are the closest I’ve found in the city to NYC. (Just like the motto says). Staff is super friendly and Kyle always is a bright and shiny face to see in the morning.

Not really sure why I keep coming back via drive-through. Their coffee is great, the bagels are great but the customer service has gotten progressively worse. Zero customer service at the drive-through window this morning, when it’s the young lady she’s great but she wasn’t here this morning and the three guys were jumping around cussing and oblivious to a customer at the open window. The guy at the drive-through window could not duplicate a receipt, I insisted that I needed one and he didn’t look very happy that he had to produce one.

I don’t know what happened to this place but my husband and I ordered 3 different bagels and they were all terrible. They hardly had any of the food items in them and all of it tasted like cafeteria food. The pizza bagel reminded me of the “pizza day” hot lunch offered at my elementary school. Over priced and does not measure up to their prices AT ALL. I had this place months ago before today and it was amazing! Don’t know what happened here. Very disappointing.

I had the firecracker on a jalapeño cheese bagel and the wife had the meat lovers breakfast bagel. They both taste good but not a lot of meat or egg and neither bagel was TOASTED! You’re a bagel shop, should always toast the bagel! I think I saw 4 microwaves too. Not the worst, but not a grand slam. Probably won’t be Bach till I see a sign out front saying every bagel toasted guarantee!

I for lack of choices ended up here last week at some point. Since then I have come every single day for my cup of heavily (delicious & perfectly made) caffeinated cup of coffee. The owner Kyle is simply the best and his staff are the absolute most amazing. I’ve lived in all the major cities and tbh this coffee shop in this little town is probably my hands down favorite.

We love Old School Bagel, but this location is frustrating, especially since it’s the closest one to our home. We always order simple bagels, no fancy sandwiches- bagel, toasted, with a flavored cream cheese. Never any fancy, more complicated sandwich. Half the time it’s amazing, the other half it’s a disappointment. We just had our bagels, and this time they weren’t toasted well and still cool, with uneven cream cheese. One of the bagels had significantly more cream cheese than the other. They’ve also switched to using bacon bits (or perhaps precooked bacon, there’s never anything crisp anymore), and I never find bits of fresh chives or onion anymore; but that’s been this way for a long time unfortunately. All around it’s still good enough to meet a bagel need, but could be way better.

This is a great place. The staff was very friendly especially the manager and they also made me aware that they actually had a gluten free bagel. It was good. It is great for piedmont to have this cafe since there is little in the area. Will keep going back.
