Love BBQ? Look no further in Cherry Grove. You arrived. Good service, 1950s vibe picnic lunch style atmosphere. Darn good BBQ. I had the BBQ sandwich. BBQ pork chopped and served with slaw on top. Choice of sauces. Hubs had 1/2 rack of ribs. Comes with choice of sauce and 2 sides. The ribs were very good. The hush puppies and onion rings were sort of meh…aaaa if you know what I mean. Friendly and helpful lady at the counter. You will leave fully satisfied of your BBQ craving.

We are from Ohio and just recently went to another BBQ place in Myrtle Beach and it cost us 3 $80. The food was NOTHING compared to this bbq place. Old south BBQ was $40 for us 3, plus was the BEST bbq food we have ever had! My dad says the BBQ Baked Beans were really good (he said he’s getting double beans next time we come in) the pulled pork was amazing, my dad and boyfriend got hush puppies (I’m usually not a fan) but they were great too!! Potato salad was good, fries were very seasoned and very good. Can not complain about this place. (The other place we have a lot to complain about) if you’re in Myrtle Beach for BBQ, PLEASE TRY THIS PLACE. It is amazing food for a little shop! You won’t be disappointed. Lastly, I will say that we are here only 3 more days, and we are going AT LEAST 2 more times it’s that good. Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk

I searched for a real southern bbq joint so my guy could fully enjoy a southern bbq experience and they did not disappoint at all! From the moment we pulled up we were greeted with smiles and great conversation… and the food was amazing!!! If you are local, get some take out! As soon as i got out of the car i knew we were in for a treat, the smoker out front was billowing clouds of smokey goodness…. 10 out of 10! Or, in Google case, 5 out of 5!

HELLO! This is some of the best pulled pork I’ve ever eaten. And I’m a certified master barbecue judge so I’ve eaten a lot of it. Smoked to perfection. Ribs were excellent. Fresh cut fries count for a LOT with me. All of it delicious in an old-school place that is genuine and cool without trying. Service is first-rate. I’m not local but if I were I would have my regular barbecue spot. Wow.

Stayed in Cherry Grove last week and drove by this place on the way in. Place just looks like it’d have amazing food, you know? We were super excited to try it, looked it up, great reviews, everything. But it was terrible. Just super dry, hard, and underseasoned pork. I have a hard time believing the smoked chicken wings were actually smoked, or seasoned really at all because the few I ate were bland as hell, but it didn’t matter, because they were undercooked with a few being inedible. I believe it’s the first time in my life I didnt finish an order of chicken wings. The fries and hot dog the kids got was okay.

Visit was 24 March 2023. Dishes were Baby Back Ribs, Deep Fried All Beef Bacon wrapped Hot Dogs, Smoked Chicken Wings, 3 Corn on the Cob. Chicken wings over cooked and dry according to my sister, but my mom’s ribs were good, and my hot dog was great. I guess smoking wings doesn’t work for them to well, since I took a look at reviews. Maybe cook them like everyone else. The corn on the cob was excellent. I didn’t think I would like that because they tend to get dry & hard but just the opposite. Do if back in area, I will try the ribs and get some more corn on the cob. They were out of potato salad for my mom, which was a little disappointed for her. However, the sweet tea was good. Two were happy but chicken wings brought rating down.
