Fun atmosphere with good food, friendly service and nice bbq joint atmosphere. The ribs were nicely smoked and fall off the bone. We enjoyed the sauces we tried, but liked Dixie Blue best on the ribs. The creamy cole slaw was delicious with pineapple and the zip of horseradish. Loved the dill potato salad with some sour cream, dill, and a touch of onion and celery. We enjoyed the corn muffin tops as kind of a dessert. They were a touch sweet, but not overly sweet like Famous Dave’s. The edges were crispy and the center moist. Very nice. Looking forward to our next visit.

Great food and reasonable priced. This place won’t disappoint you if you are looking for good bbq. Loved my Brisket bowl. The cranberry slaw was so good, I had to take some home. If you like crumbs on your food, their garlic crumbs are fantastic! Will I be a repeat customer? Ya, you betcha!

We were there at 12:30 on a Sunday and there was no line. I got the pulled pork sandwich and cream corn. I was sad to see no fried on okra on the menu since that’s what I usually like to get with my bbq. Overall it was pretty good. I was happy to see different choices of sauce since I usually like my bbq sauce sweet. The cream corn was good but didn’t have as much flavor as I was hoping for. The corn bread did not taste right, but I cannot out my finger on why it was weird. Overall good experience.

Is it the best BBQ I’ve ever had in my life? I mean, look, there’s a lot of complexity, competition, history, and whatnot around BBQ. Set appropriate expectations, this is a suburban BBQ restaurant. But with that context out of the way, it was quite good! Meat was delicious, lemonade was worth drinking, the mac and cheese was tasty, and the cornbread muffin tops are my preferred way of eating corn bread. Very reasonably priced, staff was very nice.

Small counter service location with terrific pulled pork and unique BBQ bowls. I had the Soul bowl with everything but the kitchen sink: mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, BBQ chicken, coleslaw, corn, cheese, sauce-delicious! The prices were also excellent. Just $10.99 for this filling meal.

Excellent atmosphere and the food was truly amazing. I’ve had food delivered to me from the Edina and Shakopee locations, can confirm that the food is great at those locations too. I have family in Rice Lake who also enjoyed it from the Wisconsin location. So they are consistent, if you like BBQ you should check out Old Southern. Loved chatting with the front desk worker and was shocked on how fast the food arrived to our table (less than 5 minutes after ordering). This was my first time eating at the actual restaurant, will return for more great ribs and corn bread.

Really helpful with suggestions while ordering. Great lunch spot – Cant go wrong with their wings and dill potato salad! Wing meat was falling off the bone and you were able to put your own sauces on. I got the regular size. About 10 wings for $14.99. Sandwiches averaged about $12.50/piece with a side. Everything is smoked and made In house.
