First time visit. We love off the beaten path restaurants, and this one did not disappoint. The staff was so nice. The food was delicious. We had the smoked chicken plate, the chicken tenders plate (was on special today), and the ribeye sandwich. All were delicious. Warning, the sweet tea is southern sweet tea! If ya want half sweet/half unsweet, you may want to go 20%/80% or even 10%/90%!!! Lol Lots of dessert choices. I chose the Blueberry Delight. Yummy! Just like my mama used to make! My husband chose a single scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream in a cone, and our son chose a muffin. The seating areas are all clean, unique, and lovely. We chose to sit outside under the covered patio. We could hear a rooster crowing in the distance. Quite charming. Definitely a place we want to visit again!

Their food is always good, but we got there at 7:20 pm and was told we could only get it to go even tho they advertise they close at 8pm. She said they have to have time for cleaning. Change your advertisement please we come there often…

I’ve tried to like this place. And without many choices I may be back. But $4 for a sausage biscuit, which had part of the package cooked into the sausage which my child choked on. It was a big biscuit (big as big chain) but nearly double the price. And well plastic in the biscuit. I can’t say I’m a fan. I will avoid for breakfast. For lunch not a bad burger. Fries are standard frozen fair.

Good food: burgers are big and delicious. The catfish & onion rings were cooked to perfection. Clean restaurant. Outdoor dining available. Everyone at Old Taft Depot was friendly and hospitable.
