Been here a couple of times for dine-in. Food has always been decent and service always good. This time I ordered DoorDash. They packed the menudos in a styrofoam container and just placed it in a plastic t-shirt bag. When the Dasher dropped off the order, my son picked it up and the soup leaked out all over the bag. The dasher looked at me and said my son caused the spill. When I open the bag, the lid was cracked. I’m hoping the owner of this restaurant looks at this review and stop using styrofoam for hot soups.

Our order was to go. We ordered after we got there. Service was prompt and pleasant. We sat down our food was prepared quickly. When we got home the food was still warm and quite delicious. The prices were very reasonable. Less than $10 per person. And there was plenty. I will still have plenty for a midnight snack

Overall, it wasn’t a horrible place. Everything was okay. I decided on dinner here one night and ended up ordering a shrimp cocktail and a chicken quesadilla. First off, the order took quite a bit of time, in my opinion, considering. But, the cocktail was lacking something, I also think the imitation crab didn’t need to be shredded to that degree. The crab pieces were so tiny. It made the cocktail kinda ehh. The quesadilla was too plain for my taste. It needed some more love. I will say, customer service was good. The host was very friendly and shared her recommendations as she saw fit.

Authentic, down home Mexican food. Chips served with their award winning Salsa and also with refried beans. Couldn’t decide which I liked best, so ate both. My meal came quickly; I asked if they had any hotter sauce. She returned with their hottest salsa, basically the salsa I had before with more chilis in it. Poured the whole container over my food. Very good and with some respectable spicy fire! As they do serve breakfast items, I’ll be back to enjoy those also!

Food was less than decent and 4 out of 5 in our party couldn’t finish their meals which was super greasy, parts were not fully cook. However, server’s attention was unequivocally superior and professional.

We were looking for a Mexican restaurant to have lunch as we were traveling the area and Googled when this place was recommended. It was well worth the visit. The salsa, and bean dip offered with chips was very tasty, delicious. We ordered soups. Albodigas and pozole both delicious and satisfying with all the trimmings. Service excellent, clean including restroom. Ambience like being in a little Mexican town. Prices $$ excellent for travelers.

My family gets to-go food from here a lot (they are open later than most in Old Town). Consistently fresh, tasty, humble Mexican food- always hits the spot. Super nice people too 🙂

I got there a bit on the early side and was seated right away. They brought out delicious salsa warm chips and warm bean dip. It was all delicious. It was my favorite salsa in a few years and the bean dip was probably tied for the best I have ever had. I was alone but finished off all of it.

Find another more authentic place of you can. Had the “street tacos” (carnitas, asada, and chicken) and they were disappointing. The green salsa that comes with the tacos is obviously from a can. The Mini Molcajete was a little better and the handmade tortillas were good. Oh and the horchata isn’t real.
