Had a delightful stop here between the beach and the Raleigh area. Easy parking. The owner and staff were warm and welcoming! Food was simple and comforting, delicious. But the desserts alone were worth the stop! The blueberry pie was delicious!

Just like the sign says “It’s cheap and homemade”. It’s smells great as soon as you walk in the door. Order and pay at the counter. They will hand you your drink cup. fill your drink and they will bring the food when ready. Great chicken salad sandwich, you get a choice of toasted or untoasted bread. Add a tea and chips for the burger special, it will not disappoint.

Friendliest service ever. They are the most thoughtful and caring people. Do yourself a favor and go check them out. They make the most amazing cakes. You should definitely treat yourself to one. They will make you anything you want. Frances and Heather are seriously amazing.

Only tea comes with a meal, which i cant drink. Only had baked beans and slaw as side. Had to pay double for chips bc I don’t like baked beans. Not friendly unless you are a regular and was over 20 dollars for what is pictured. On the bright side my Mom liked the hot dogs which is the most important.

Hello, sorry to report this type of review but I feel I need to. The pulled pork at the locations sadly to say was the worse pork I ever eaten, I hope it was pork and not possibly roadkill. Not exaggerating. Besides there not allowed to have fries served at this location, green beans scolding hot when you try to eat them; the sweet tea was good.

Francis makes the best from scratch, blueberry pancakes. She doesn’t normally have them on the menu, but if you ask ahead of time she will make for you. They are worth going off your diet for.

Wonderful service, great food; worth the quick drive from I40 at the Burgaw exit 398. Look at that Giant club sandwich! It was fresh local strawberry season and who doesn’t love whipped cream. Closes at 4pm

Honestly. The breakfast was dis satisfactory. Expensive for what I ordered. A bowl of grits, very bland and a country ham and egg sandwich, 2 drinks and a slice of cake. Almost 30 dollars for something I could’ve made better at home. I heard raving reviews so checked it out myself and was so displeased with the place. I’m sure lunch and dinner may be better but the 5 options for breakfast was unpleasant to me.

Always a pleasure to stop in for a meal or a quick “to go” order. Friendly, down home atmosphere. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend the place.
