Hours can be iffy. Some days open. Some closed. But the food is wonderful and the ladies working there can seem odd putting. But they are really sweet hearts. Every is cooked fresh. Fish plates are cooked to order. The cabbage potato salad fried chicken and peach cobbler is magnificent!!!

I’m really finding it hard to believe that this place has 4 stars. I’ve had better bbq, fried fish at a carnival. Tasteless and just sloppy how it’s even served in the styrofoam trays. Why would you put hush puppies beneath mushy fish. The food didn’t even smell good, that should of been a red flag when I walked in. The place smells bland, like the food.I’m glad I only paid $12.00 because everything went in the trash. This is the second time I’ve tried this place and it did not get any better. Dang I was really hungry to but this slop took my appetite.

I ordered the vegetable plate and it was fantastic and delicious. I got cabbage, sweet potatoes, string beans, and potato salad. The vegetables were very filling and had that down south flavor to your palate satisfaction. The hush puppies were huge and very tasty. This meal was very satiating. I ordered the large banana pudding. That banana pudding melted in your mouth with every spoonful. It was so perfectly sweetened to perfection, with the right amount of creaminess and cookies melded together in your mouth. I thoroughly enjoyed this meal.

My 2 stars is NOT for the taste of the food at ALL ! The food was amazing!!! HOWEVER , firstly the sanitation score is 94.5 which is scary within itself secondly the guy that was handing the food out ” Michael ” was kind of rude , customer’s would ask him ” how are you doing” he says ”good’ in a matter of fact sort of way , then the girl in front of me he apparently knew , he asked her to choose the exact piece of chicken and he gave her the biggest one in the batch , then I ask for baked chicken, he didn’t ask me he just actually took his time to choose the SMALLEST pieces of chicken he could ,MOVING the biggest piece and giving me the smallest one . So… THE MORAL OF THIS STORY , I will NOT be back . When they first reopened I thought the BBQ was tasteless so I wanted to give it another chance and they lost it.

My goodness this is a gem! I drive Uber and ran across this place. It was so good! Whiting fish with Mac n Cheese, hush puppies and cole slaw. Fish is fresh and piping hot with sides seasoned like grandma made it. The beautiful Queen at the front is that Auntie you love. She said try a sample of our cabbage too. I’ll be back. But she already knew it haha
