This restaurant is a must when visiting coal country. I love all the historic elements incorporated into the design. The painted murals are beautiful. The hamburger press saved from the Cricket is awesome. The food and service was great. We had the bar which I think would be worth the $15 if maybe another meat and a dessert like a cobbler or bread pudding were added. The bathrooms were clean. I loved the game lounge area. The axe throwing game was an unexpected surprise. Eat here, you won’t regret it.

The first time we ate there our burgers were burnt. We decided to try again and ordered chicken sandwiches with lettuce tomato mayo and one with onion we got chicken sandwiches with lettuce tomato mayo pickles and hot sauce guessing buffalo and onion on one. Last time eating there for us.

Had dinner after a long day of riding trails and then doing the mine tour, which is an informative tour. Overall the service and food was really good. We had a group of seven and I don’t think anyone had any complaints about their food. We got the cheese curds and crab dip as appetizers. Both were good, but I will say the crab dip could use a little tweaking. The steak, chicken parm, burger, ribs, and coconut fried shrimp were all cooked to our satisfaction. One disappointment we had in our group was the shrimp, they didn’t know the fried shrimp was actually coconut fried shrimp. It didn’t specify on the menu that it had coconut in the batter so that is something to look out for unless they’ve updated the menu. The brownie and ice cream was a great treat to share for dessert.

Very nice establishment. The food is ok, but I expect it to get better as the season progresses. Drinks were great and the staff is super friendly. I recommend you stop here for sure. Live music most nights as well. Support local businesses!

Not what we expected at all… for starters, parking was a nightmare. Not many spaces to park and people blocking each other in. We waiting for over 10-15 minutes to be seated which was annoying because we had reservations and had to stop the hostess ourselves to get a seat.

Service was terrible. Went for dinner Saturday night, arrived at 645 and we finally left at 845. It was busy, but not all the tables were full. We sat and waited for 15 minutes to get our drink order (just pop and water). Received the drinks about 10 minutes later. She took off and came back 15 minutes later for our food order. The lady that seated us (incredibly nice) actually noticed us and came over to make sure we had our food order taken. The food was good! Fish tacos were great! Never had drink refills or plates cleared. Took another 15 to 20 minutes to get our bill. The server was really nice, but our table was an after thought. We rode over from WV and luckily didn’t get a ticket trying to get back after dark. This place has so much potential! It’s a cool atmosphere with good food. Unfortunately, 2 hours for dinner was crazy and we won’t be back.

We stopped at the Ole #3 restaurant on a Friday night while we were visiting the area. There were 5 of us and 3 of us ordered the chicken tenders, and another ordered ordered the grilled shrimp. Our little one ordered Mac&Cheese. Two of us tried Sangria from the bar. The grilled shrimp was very good. (We are from the tidewater area of VA so we eat a lot of shrimp) and the chicken tenders were also good. There was a lot of food on the plate and even our 2 hearty eaters were pleasantly full at the meal’s end. The sangrias were very flavorful and I would definitely order the blackberry again. It was a very pleasant dining experience. I also want to add that our waitress was the best. I didn’t catch her name and it wasn’t on the bill receipt but she was so sweet. If you go there, look for the waitress with the dark hair and the cutest nose ring. She is a delight.

The food was so delicious! The beer was cold, and the mixed drinks were on point. Everyone was so nice. We were in a group of 24, the waitress didn’t seem overwhelmed, she was fast and so nice!
