Like I’ve talked about on my page before @arifsiddiqi1 and I celebrate our birthdays each year with an omakase dinner.

If I could give more stars to Omakase By Yun I would! It was simply one of the most wonderful dining experiences I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying.

First and foremost, this review is strictly for Chef Yun’s omakase and not Sri Thai. When making reservations, make sure Sri Thai is aware that you’re making reservations for Omakase By Yun and not their restaurant. When I called to place my deposit, one of their team mates who mainly handles this had quit. They were all over the place with handling payment and reservation info. I called at least 3 times to place my deposit; the first few times I was placed on hold or disconnected. They also do not call you to confirm your reservation the day prior, like most restaurants would.

Yun is a great sensei. His ingredients are great quality and I enjoyed his artwork. His menu is never heard before combination. His specialty seems to be with uni, so uni lovers time to enjoy your taste of sea. Servers are really nice and you get taken care of throughout the experience.

Omakase by Yun was perhaps the greatest food experience I’ve ever had. Not only was the Chef knowledgeable about the origin of the food and able to describe its notes in such a way that I was able to imagine the taste of every dish before I received it, but i was also able to appreciate the complexity of the Sushi and Nigiri that was clearly prepared with ease by the experienced chef. My partner and I enjoyed this experience and would do it all over again.

Best sushi/multi course meal I’ve ever had. Every ingredient is prepared in house including the sauces; the sea urchin dishes in particular are absolutely incredible. The sake pairing matched very well with each course and the chef not only prepares great food, but is also a really nice guy to talk to when he’s explaining the dishes. Try and come here before the Atlanta food magazines start raving about it because I can’t imagine that the wait is ever going to get smaller than it is now.

Best omakase experience I’ve had. Yun was incredibly attentive to detail, lots of knowledge goes into sourcing the freshest ingredients weekly (many of which are flown in from Japan, Alaska, Spain). Limited seats and only a few dinner services per week make this a very special experience. Cannot beat the quality at this price
