OMG! The food is soooo good and the service is top notch. Our server was very attentive and personal. She even brought us complementary limoncello drinks for our anniversary. We both ordered the Insalata Mista di Stagione as an appetizer, which was a simple salad with a super flavorful balsamic dressing that had a special tang. I ordered the Orecchiette alla Baresi and my husband ordered the Pollo alla “Zingara.” Both entrees were amazing! For desert, I ordered the Affogato al OMBRA (sundae extraordinaire) and my husband ordered the limonchello mixed berry special. Highly recommend this restaurant!! You won’t regret it.

This was a lovely intimate and charming Italian Bistro. It would make for a romantic night out or a special celebration. The food is excellent and served well. The servers are knowledgeable and attentive. The manager is always watching and checking on the guests. This is a popular place and it is hard to get a reservation so plan ahead. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and it was a delightful evening. The price point is a bit high but a place like this could easily command more.

My husband and I started with their delicious caprese salad, thick slices of form sweet tomatoes topped with fresh mozzarella, the plate was beautifully garnished with fresh basil pesto and a balsamic glaze. Then we went a little off menu for our entrées. He ordered the seared diver scallops appetizer but asked for it as his entree, so they increased the number of the scallops and presented it with a side of sautéed spinach. They were perfectly seared and tender. I order the swordfish special which was grilled then topped with blistered cherry tomatoes, capers and kalmata olives, for my side I wanted to try the spinach tagliatelle served aglio olio (garlic & olive oil), their oil olive is SO flavorful! We really didn’t have room for dessert but since my husband had never had Profiteroles we managed to eat them all! Lol The puff pastries were light and fluffy with a slight chewy exterior cut in half with a vanilla cream filling, centered in the three puff pastries was a large scoop of vanilla gelato (which was so creamy and scrumptious) it was all topped with a heavy drizzle of chocolate sauce. Our server Paul was outstanding! The wine list is extensive with a great selection for every budget and palate.

I have had Italian meals all over this country including being raised at the table of an Italian mother and grandmother. This meal tonight was a top three meal of all time. The wait staff was great. The wine was great. The entree was great. The dessert was the best I’ve had in a restaurant. Please take the time and enjoy your family around the table with a top notch Italian meal. If anyone doesn’t like this place, you don’t know food.

Took my 84 year old mother out to dinner. Everyone was very kind and patient. Veal chop was phenomenal. And our server Alessandra was out standing. Never flustered despite the crowd. She was a lot of fun. . She took whole experience up to a different level. Pay her well. She deserves it.

We were totally surprised how great the food was! The chicken parm was one of the best I’ve ever had the opportunity to consume! Everyone loved their meals which is hard to do with a picky family of 5(all adults). Anytime I can go the whole night without an adult child complaining is a win. Well worth the trip and well worth not hearing complaining. Ombra for the win.

After a few nights of southern food in Hilton Head, Ombra Cucina Italiana was a welcomed delight. Our kids split a plain spaghetti and we all shared the poached pear salad, Insalata di Pera e Gorgonzola, which was great. We also tried their burrata and prosciutto appetizer special – superbly good. For our entrees, my wife and i each got the Pollo alla Milanese, a chicken parm without the mozz or red sauce. Very excellent and not a belly bomb either. Ombra staff was perfectly attentive and were great with our kids. We dined Al fresco under the shade and we were fortunate to get a few breezes. A greaT night all around! We will be back!
