Quick and easy pick up of rolls. They ranged from $2-4, and are fairly rice heavy but pretty much what you expect for that price point. We got the bomb, eel and fried oysters.

This place was very cute and very convenient where we stayed. Quick bites and even a small dining area where we finished our bento! Prices are reasonable and not over priced which I LOVED. Would recommend coming earlier if you want fresh onigiri

Inside Katagiri, shortly put, a Japanese bodega, but in truth, a Japanese food aficionado goldmine, lies OMUSUBI GONBEI! Where one can find handmade rice balls of a variety, packed full with salmon, plum, or other staple flavors from Japan. One of their speciality is the Spam Omusubi, a MUST HAVE. They also have this veggie fry topping, that was out of this world! Aside from the handmade rice balls, omusubi, this little shop, Katagiri, is PACKED FULL w all kinds of items ranging from a large assortment of cup noodles, spices, sauces, snacks, cooked, frozen, and grab-n-go delights spanning a whole range of taste buds. You are sure to find what you need here. As one who grew up in Japan, this place is a life saver.

As an Asian man I do crave my rice and here was my go to spot for onigiri(rice balls). I also tried their rice bowls but I would stick to onigiris instead. It’s perfect if you’re in a hurry and craving some rice. Can’t go wrong!

Their riceballs and spam musubi was Ballin! What can I say? So freaking delish. Each cost about $2-3 which is cheap and one riceball made my stomach full. There’s no other place like it . I stopped by that place twice while I was on my weekend stay in New York and I’m stopping there again. Pretty good Japanese mart

Quick service! Good value. I saw this place on Instagram and it had glowing reviews. The value/size of the onigiris is great. Excellent selection. The store is easy to navigate and is very popular!

Delicious onigiri – I only got to try the spam and sweet egg, but that’s all I wanted anyways. I ordered three! There were a lot of other options when I checked at 4PM, but when I went back after my shopping trip around 7PM they were basically cleared out of everything else! So definitely do not wait if you see something you like. From what I saw, the average price was around $2.10 – $4.10 which is very reasonable for the size. I wish I lived closer to one of these marketplaces so I could try more!!

I really enjoyed their Omusubi, particularly their Mentaiko, Spam, and Spicy Tuna Omusubi. These are great portable meal/snack and they keep for a day or two!

I’ve been here a few times through multiple visits as a tourist and the Bomb would be my favorite for the size, price, and flavor. The amount of fish in the eel, spicy tuna, and salmon omusubis are very small compared to the amount of rice given. I also prefer if they provided double layer packing so that the seaweed sheets are fresh and allow you to wrap them yourself since not everyone can be there during lunch.

I’m here two times a week at least. Incredible affordable sushi and rice balls! I’ve liked everything I’ve gotten here. My favorite part of living in Murray Hill!
