It was the first day of TASSP conference and it was lunch time in Austin, Texas. Having attended this conference for years, you learn about the places around the convention center and One Taco is a must attend. I walked from the convention center yet if your driving, parking is an issue. As you enter, you place your order and the tacos are sold individually. The restaurant has a Mexican Luchador theme so my inner child who attended Mexican wrestling likes this place. It was Tuesday so TACO TUESDAY brought me a discount so I felt my Rick Flair come out woooooooo! Sitting is limited and you wait for your number to be called. The trompo or seasoned meat tacos were good and big. The Gowalla is a good blend of meats and recommended yet a bit expensive for one taco. If you are in downtown Austin, and feel like getting your luchador on, this is the place for you.

Trust me when I say your going to want more than one taco!! My husband always gets the specialty tacos and never has gone wrong. My go to are the street tacos. I’m not normally a chicken fan but they have turned me into one! The flavors are amazing by themselves but the sauces are too good to pass up! It’s hard to have favorites when it’s all so good. Go hungry so you can try it all!

This place was AMAZING!!! The prices are super reasonable and the quality is great. The taste of the warm taco shells slightly buttered were on point. The meat was tender and the sauce was the bomb. I would highly recommend visiting this place if you are in Austin Texas next time.

Breakfast taco I love bacon was stellar with some verde- but the homeless fella outside the entrance will pester you for cash or to buy him a 6-pack of tacos immediately after you walk out. Heaven forbid you go back tomorrow because now he’ll tell you to buy him tacos before you go back in- so good tacos but not worth being harassed for.

Food was great, some of the best tacos I have had. Well seasoned and tender meat. Everything went great on the taco. Seating isn’t the best but fortunately it wasn’t packed when we went. Wish they had a speaker for shouting out orders that you need to pick up.
