Very okay restaurant, I waited about 15 mine for my food and it didn’t feel worth the wait, I ordered the fire chicken and I expected it to be a good spicy, with a good smell, but as soon as I opened it up, I received a very unsatisfying smell hitting my nose. I had chicken like this before wity it having that smell and the last time I had it, I ended up sick for days with a stomach ache. I had some of the chicken and I couldn’t taste much of the spiciness, it tasted barely spicy but smelled like it was dangerously spicy. I was more interested in the rice than the chicken itself because at least the rice had a better taste. I expected the chicken to have at least some hint of sweetness to it while adding some spiciness. However, as Thanos says “Reality is often disappointing.” No hate on this restaurant, this is all my honest opinion and thoughts on the food, and I only tried the fire chicken so perhaps the katsu is better.

Fantastic Hawaiian bbq. We’ve been to other Ono’s chains. This meal was so fresh and tasty. My kids loved it. We had the chicken bbq and shrimp. Service was superb. Cashier/server was very friendly and attentive. Clean inside and outside. Wish we had a location closer to our house.

This is the 3rd time over the past several months I’ve tried to walk in for lunch. Doordash and online orders are always priorities over dine in orders. This has resulted in Co workers and I waiting anywhere from 30 minutes to 40 minutes while sometimes being the only people waiting in the dining area. I’ve mentioned it to workers there and am given the same dismissive rude answers.

I went to Ono two times a few years ago and was sick afterwards both times. The only reason I went back for the second time was because the food tasted so good I wanted to be sure it wasn’t a coincidence. Flash forward to this year and I’ve been twice again. The first time was fine, the food was delicious and I didn’t get sick. But the second time I got food poisoning again.

If you don’t want to get sick don’t go to this location. Ordered food and found a metal rod of some kind that was rusty. Best belive if I get sick people gunna know. I called the location and reported it. Women on the phone was nonchalant and did not care much and was like “O sorry”. I reported them to Doordash. They need the health department and BBB to inspect them and make sure they are up to code.

We have been missing Ono since getting stationed here in NorCal and were so happy to have it again for lunch last week. None of these other Hawaiian places in the area have anything on Ono! Tasted just as good and fresh as ever, reminds me of my dads cooking! Everything tasted delicious, hot and fresh and love that their containers are made out of recyclable materials instead of the old black styrofoam boxes! The only thing I wanted more of was cabbage, I felt like it was a lot less than before. But other than that PERFECT!

I must say this place was ridiculously busy at lunch time, from call on orders to order ins. However it took almost 45 minutes to get what we ordered for lunch. Just one plate for each of us. (2) I positively thought the food must be amazing. It was not. It was good and it was freshly made. I know to order ahead next time, and maybe they were short staffed, I don’t know. No communication. Ice machine broke so no ice, but that could’ve happened in the a.m. I will return as it may have been a fluke. Next time I will take a picture of what I order. Because everyone has different taste buds.
