Orchids was our last meal out in Oahu before returning home. What a wonderful experience! From the incredible sunset views to the delicious drinks, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to end our vacation in Hawaii. I think we all agreed that the short rib ravioli was by far the tastiest dish. Definitely order the beef tartare as an appetizer! Solomon was a wonderful waiter and definitely added to our overall experience. We highly recommend a dinner at Orchids!

What a perfect way to spend the sunset than front row seats to the ocean with food that’s a delight to the senses!? The staff were great, took photos as requested, mood amazing, quiet and off the path of the hustle of rest of Waikiki inside the posh Halekulani Hotel. It may not seem like a lot of food but it’s very filling! All in all – perfect!

We were told to try its Sunday brunch by our Uber driver when we arrived. Unfortunately, we got no clue about reservation since we stayed in the hotel for the whole time. We never thought a breakfast buffet would need a reservation, but anyway, we went early enough so they allowed us to take a table in the living room, which got no views at all and we are partially facing the bathroom with people walking by all the time.

We had a great experience with Orchids. I would say the food was very well presented. The flavor was good, but not extraordinary. Overall, the Sea Bass with lemon caper was the favorite dish of the night and the tiramisu. Very beautiful atmosphere for sure. Romantic night out with the hubs. Not really recommended for small kiddos.

There was a table left on the terrace, but I was a little disappointed when an employee guided me inside, but in the end I was able to sit on the pretty terrace and have a happy breakfast. I recommend it. I’m staying at this hotel for 10 days, and I’m going to go back home after going to all the restaurants.

The view and decor of the place is the only nice thing that I can speak on. It was my birthday and we went for lunch. Our server wasn’t very nice or accommodating until the end, when he dropped off the complimentary birthday cake slice and the check. Other than that, he made me feel as though I was dumb when asking him questions about the menu. He would not put in effort to tell me more about menu items or anything else. He did the bare minimum and it was not appreciated, especially on my birthday. The entree portions were to be expected for fine dining, but the appetizers were small. The food was lacking flavor but otherwise okay. I wouldn’t really recommend this place, but hey maybe I just had mediocre server?

We had the dinner buffet and ate breakfast here. The buffet was nice, but it didn’t offer that much for a vegetarian to justify the price tag. For anyone that just eats meat and fish, there is plenty to eat and choose from.
