Oregon Barbecue Company Menu – Albany, OR

Type : Barbecue restaurant

Location : Albany, OR

The Oregon Barbecue Company (OBC) began in 2013 as a competitive BBQ team that participated in competitions up and down the Pacific Northwest. Our passion for BBQ led us to get involved in these competitons as a way to join the BBQ world and meet other like-minded people who shared the same love for slow smokin’ meats as we do. After winning multiple awards throughout the competition circuit, folks began to inquire how they could try the meats that we had worked so hard to produce. It was then that we decided to bring OBC to the masses. We got ourselves an old 1979 Prowler trailer that had been converted into a food cart and we made our debut! We loved servin’ our BBQ, and the public seemed to love eatin’ it too.

Went here after a long day and I was craving bbq. I got the half rack of ribs, beans and buttered corn and my husband got the brisket, potato salad and the chicken chili.

I love this place! I stop here a few times a month. Always been enjoying the food. My favorite goes between the pulled pork sandwich or brisket sandwich. Favorite side is the bbq beans. Great place to stop and grab some good bbq. Friendly service and they’re pretty quick. Never had a bad meal here. Nice outdoor seating for when it’s nice out.

Called ahead to try and order only to find out it has to be over $100. It was our first time here and didn’t realize it was so small and had a walk up & drive thru. It was actually very good BBQ. We did the buckle buster and shared it and it was plenty for 2 people. The ribs were fall off the bone tender, they were out of the sausage, so we got a few more ribs. The chicken and the shredded pork in my opinion was just okay. I have had better on that one. The brisket was good but have had better. The sides were just sides. Corn was bland, potato salad was al dente and no seasoning. The cole slaw and baked beans were run of the mill and nothing special. It was a good meal and would go back again but it was nothing spectacular for us. The customer service was great and very friendly.

The BBQ is fantastic. The ambiance has a lot to be desired but this is basically a drive-thru so I am evaluating on taste alone. We had two “Buckle Busters” for three to share and had leftovers. We would have been OK with one for three for a reasonable lunch. The brisket, ribs and pulled pork were fantastic. The sausage were OK. All were well flavored and the sauce was excellent. Next time, depending on my mood, I will go with brisket, pulled pork, and ribs in that order. Of the sides, I loved the slaw. They have picnic tables, a Porta potty, and wash station. As noted – not big on ambiance.

Phenomenal pulled pork and the best baked beans I’ve ever had, hands down. Cole slaw was nice and creamy. All things I’m very picky about and was very pleasantly surprised.

Great BBQ this is not. Great BBQ meat is smokey and tender, so delicious that putting sauce on it seems sinful. The meat was moist (the chicken was dry) but lacked a bark and was not smokey enough. Great Sauce is smokey, a little sweet and a little spicy with a tangy irresistible zing. Great sauce is so good you must put it on something. This sauce was obviously purchased in a can, cold, thick and syrupy, lacking in any complexity. It’s more like fancy ketchup. People raved about the potato salad but we found it tasteless. The BBQ beans tasted like someone spilled hand sanitizer in it. They were inedible and we threw them out. I regret pulling off I-5 for this. I hate to leave a negative review but I gotta keep it real.

It was fine. Brisket and Pork was all they had by dinner time, so that’s what we got. The brisket was really great. The pork was…fine. Beans were tasty and potato salad was just ok. The sauce is extremely sweet, so be warned if that’s not your thing.

I was seriously disappointed visiting the Oregon Barbecue Company. I do appreciate that they were open on a Monday when most BBQ joints are closed. Which is how we ended up stopping by. We were traveling north from the Bay and wanted BBQ. I read many positive reviews and we were

We found this place while traveling from WA to CA. We wanted some food, but didnt want to stop at a fast food joint. The reviews seemed good, so we thought “what the heck”. We are glad we chose this place! The brisket was pretty darn good! It was a little hard to eat as a sandwich. So we just used our fork to eat it and ate the bread as a side. The potato salad was good. A little more mustard then I normally like. But was still good. The cole slaw was also good. Not too sweet or too sharp. The brisket was tender, juicy and full of smoky goodness! We hope to be able to come again the next time we are traveling through the area! They also have a nice little outdoor eating area.
