There is something so comforting to the soul about dining at an old world establishment like this. Pollo’s is a holdout of old fashions while it’s surroundings rapidly embrace modernity. The food is typical diner food done very well and the prices are unbeatable for the area. The owner was polite, but the food was only 2 stars at best. I got a denver omelet, which was very pedestrian. It was ok. Nothing special. I saw the cook rub his nose & then immediately touch food on a plate, in the kitchen. I will not go back. No offense, but that sealed the deal. The owner was talking to the cook right when the cook did the deed but said nothing. I already paid for my meal, so I stayed, but I won’t go back.
