The food was great, portions were great, price felt worth it, the building is quaint but charming. The only negative thing was the attitude of the employees. They weren’t rude or offensive, but seemed disappointed that a customer walked in. Frowns on their faces and a sort of surprised look that someone walked in.

A local classic! Food is always tasty and fresh, sometimes a little slow to come out because it’s a really small little shop. Staff always freindly and willing to give you a smile. Owner is a local who owns another restaurant In the next town. Involved owner keeps the quality of food and service high. One of the few places that will cook your burger to your liking.

I grew up in el Sobrante…visited Red Onion often…it was great…back then. Skip to present times, I visited yesterday and it is NOT the same Red Onion that I remember! The burgers just aren’t good and that “secret sauce” needs to stay a secret…hidden away…forever! But the fries and shake were good!

My favorite Red Onion. Fast friendly service. Not much seating but it’s kept very very clean—no grimy counter tops or tables. Always feels scrubbed and clean. Food is fresh and super delicious. Great place to eat. Like I said, my favorite Red Onion. Yum!
