In the mood for some sushi… we stopped in and ended up doing the hibachi with some side sushi rolls. The place was empty and we were a little concerned… but everything was fresh and high quality. Had the shrimp hibachi and a Miami roll. The salad was the best I have had anywhere!

I ordered the seafood udon, and was disappointed. Specifically, the soup was supposed to come with mussels, crab, shrimp, and fish, but there was only one shrimp and 3 pieces of fish. I actually ordered this because I thought mussels were in it as stated, so beware.

Very disappointed ☹️…. We got 2 hibachi dinners and it was lunch portion and no veggies, we spent $100 and still not sure why so much. I called and they only want to replace veggies WTH…. Never again will I go there.

Had some craving for Japanese food. So I decided to check out Osaka. This place has a nice atmosphere. Very clean and well cared for. Staff was friendly and they respect my gangsta. Food was delicious. I love the zucchini. Will come here again if I’m in the Covington area

I had heard from friends in the Mandeville area for years that Osaka was the best Hibachi hands down and that I would be comparing all future places to this location. I accepted the challenge, and to my delight and subtle sadness, they were not wrong. Osaka West had the challenge of convincing me on their first table for the day (those in the restaurant business will understand), and they didn’t disappoint. From the clear soup to the salad, finally finishing on the Hibachi. Nothing was bad with this meal. I even had leftover fried rice that was delicious 4 hours later! Sadly, I’m now off to chase somewhere better, but my journey will likely yield no results.

Celebrated my birthday here and the performance by our chef was amazingly entertaining. He chatted us up and had a lot of jokes, he even helped us make the sake bombs more fun. The food was fantastic, best hibachi rice ive ever had and my filet was cooked perfectly medium rare.
