Great little place to eat, nice getaway from the chain places. Cool, campy, hunting lodge like atmosphere/ decor, also has a bar. Staff was great, very nice & friendly. Food was very good, nice portions for price. I had a Buffalo bacon cheeseburger, came with fresh cut fries, & a brownie sundae for dessert. All of it was very good. Would recommend if you’re in the Birch Run area & want to try somewhere other than a chain restaurant/ bar. Will definitely be back.

We walked over from our hotel and so glad we did. The room decor is wonderful. The food and the service was fantastic. Hubby had the filet mignon and said it was really good, my bacon cheeseburger was great as was the housemade berry vinegrette dressing.

Great place! The staff went above and beyond to make up a super yummy vegetarian dish for me!thank you so much! All food made to order from scratch. The chef came out and asked me how I like my meal! so thoughtful and friendly!

Staying at a hotel across the st.. After reading so many “highly satisfied” reviews, decided why not. Well I could see now, why not. I am pregnant with heightened senses- upon entering I smelled urine. We ordered our food to go; simply nachos, and a chicken ceasaer wrap with fries. $20. The wrap was DRENCHED in whichever dressing used. Completely sogged up the tortilla. Would have been ok to taste if there wasn’t so much, but just ruined the whole thing. The nacho chips were stale! And took up the majority of the space.. Not enough toppings nor meat! Maybe if we had ordered something else it would have been better but I firmly believe every menu item should be great in an establishment you take so much pride in. Better luck next time I guess.

Great waitstaff. Delicious food. Can’t wait to go back! Stick with the homemade stuff…stuff you can’t make easily at home!

The staff was very friendly and attentive. I have to follow a gluten-free diet, so I ordered the deep fried perch with carrots, let me tell you everything was absolutely delicious! The fish was cooked perfectly and was so tasty, along with the carrots, just soft enough with a yummy flavor. I am going to miss this place when they close, this is one of my best ever restaurants!

Don’t let the exterior and decor fool you! Outstanding quality and a vdry eceltic menu with lots of wild game choices. Lots of beef/poultry/ fish/pasta coices as well. EVERYTHING is housenade. Lake perch and spaghetti was off the chart and perfect. Looking foward to trying the Blueberry Walleye dish next time!

The whole experience was horrible. We walked in, found a table. There was only 2 other people in the whole restaurant, yet it took 10 min to get our drink order and another 10 for our order to be taken by the most uninterested waitress I’ve ever met. You could really tell she had better things to do like play with her phone like the rest of the staff. Our food was terrible. The cheese sticks tasted like they cooked them in the same oil as my fish. The fries were half cooked and soggy. The French dip looked half cooked as most of it was still pink. It was super fatty like they just used leftover pot roast. The Au Jus had stuff floating in it that wasn’t meat pieces. And the linguine Alfredo barely had any sauce. Most of the food was barely warm. And to top it all off we were never offered a drink refill. Also, if a waitress/waiter is going to check on a table they shouldn’t ask as they are walking away to another table. All in all I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s overpriced for what you get and I’ve never been treated so poorly. We didn’t even want our leftovers.

Great food and service. Reasonable prices. Lots of gluten free options! This place has some of the most creative and flavorful dishes in the state of Michigan! Wild boar? With seafood! Spicy calamari (gluten free!). House rolls with maple butter! Gluten free fried fish! Everything was spectacular with generous portion sizes. Wish I had two stomachs.
