The hostess was very accommodating and found us a their last table in a full booking. The service was to perfection (thank you Chuck). The food was inspired, delicious and on point. Grilled calamari, bread and olive oil, caesar salad with anchovies, Birra Antoniana, Elk with mashed potatoes, Lasagna with zucchini, shrimp & jumbo lump crabmeat, limoncello cake, tiramisu, and zabaione. The calamari was out of this world incredible. Like to die for. I wanted to order 2 more plates. The lasagna was amazing. Charlie the waiter was awesome. Soooo glad I came here and I will definitely come back. We can’t stop talking about how great this restaurant was. By far the best food we had while here for 3 days. Spectacular, 10/10. We really enjoyed the authenticity of this resto and the choice of both menu and wine list. If you are looking for an intimate Italian experience in Annapolis this fits the bill. There are options of land, sea & vegetarian, something for everyone! We had a sweet ending as well that was just as good as our starters and mains.

Fantastic food, great atmosphere. We ordered the clams and mussels appetizer, clam pasta, and grilled calamari appetizer. Not a single clam or mussle was the least bit gritty or unopened- they were all amazing. There is a dress code so dress slightly nicer.

Osteria 177 is a niche restaurant with options seldom available anywhere else and you’re paying for that experience. You can easily tell the food is fresh, well prepared, and made to order by a chef who cares about what they are doing. Our dishes were tasteful but not mind blowing. To fully enjoy Osteria I say you have to fully appreciate higher end culinary experiences and all the tangibles that come with them. The reason I gave a four star rating was due to an awkward misunderstanding we had with the server regarding the wine we brought. The restaurant has a corking fee for individuals who would like to bring their own wines. We confirmed both the restaurant’s policy and the wines we were going to bring beforehand. The server misunderstood the rules and was reluctant to re-confirm them. We sought out management who made things right but not before an awkward encounter that put a damper on the experience.

This place is amazing. Definitely not your typical Italian restaurant. If you live in this area, this restaurant is the closest you can get to enjoying an authentic Italian dish. And if you’re not into pasta, their steaks and other meats and seafood dishes are all delicious. I will definitely be back.
