Came here with a group of 7 and everything that we had was so delicious! Portion sizes were large, enough to share with the table. The bread and eggplant was addicting (we asked for more bread!). Our waiter was so friendly and funny.

Amazing degustative experience. The food, the service and the ambience, everything on point. I felt transported to Italy. Only thing is that the owner walked around and talked to the customers, except us. I felt left out when he did that. That was compensated by the attention from extraordinary chef Andrea who come and checked on us just like he did with the other customers. He treated everyone equally, same as the wonderful waiter. Again, except from the lack of personal attention from the owner, everything was wonderful.

Great local place, family owned and run. Andrea and his wife have created a friendly neighborhood restaurant that serves great Italian food. The setting is small, but to me that makes it even better. Service is first rate. Andre makes all of the deserts himself and the pistachio mousse cake is one of his specialties. My wife said his tiramisu was the best she’s ever had, and she’s had many. . . Don’t let it’s “hole in wall” outward appearance fool you—it’s a home of great food, expertly prepared. But make a reservation!

We were warmly welcomed and share a common region of Italy with the chef (Campania Region, Province of Salerno). He made a dish for us that made us nostalgic for our home territory and one that was shared with him by his mom. It was a pasta with nuts, anchovies and breadcrumbs. Others in our party had the chicken scarpariello and pasta amatriciana. Everything was delicious. The place has a very homey and rustic decor. It felt like home and we will definitely be back.

My wife and I just had an amazing dinner this evening. We’re always searching for an authentic Italian restaurant. We just found it. Osteria Padre Pio was perfect. Everything was perfection. The place was warm and charming. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was fresh, delicious and served to perfection. Domenico and the dinning room staff were friendly and inviting. Chef Andrea came out and sat with us. He was wonderful even offering us homemade Limecello (yes lime). We go to Italy 2 to 3 times a year and i lived in Italy for many years. This is the best Italian restaurant on this side of the Atlantic. This will be our place from now on. Grazie per l’ospitalita’ e per un pranzo gustoso. BRAVI….
