First time here and such a lovely experience. We shared the tomato manchego salad to start, which was incredible! For entrées, I had the cod over wild rice. The rice and the sage flavor gave the dish a very earthy feel. He had the duck (I stole a few bites), and it was incredible. For dessert we shared the crêpes which were a perfect end to the evening. Overall, such an amazing place. Can’t wait to return!

The French toast was delicious and definitely the kind I enjoy being more of a soft custard like batter. The scrambled eggs were good but the potatoes with the entree were the hit of the parade. The couscous with apricot was very good and the risotto I ordered was perfectly cooked. The drinks were awesome and the heirloom tomatoes were the favorite of my group. The atmosphere is excellent and the restaurant is immaculate. I will be back to try the mussels and also the duck breast. All in all I will recommend to anyone looking for great food and a quiet atmosphere to enjoy their meal. The husband and wife owners went above and beyond to please our group.

This is a far too late review. Only after making a reservation for our upcoming anniversary, did I remember that I’d never posted a comment about our fabulous dinner in June for my birthday. The mussels were delicious, my scallops were the best I can recall having. My husband, who is not a great eater, raved about his salad and duck. The server was terrific. I started with a unique cocktail and was more than pleased with the wine by glass offerings. This restaurant is an exceptional addition to the CT shoreline.

Great French restaurant! The escargots was excellent, super yummy!! The beef bourguignon was tender and delicious too ♥️. Don’t forget to get a dessert, the chocolate mouse was fantastic. Great wine selection, comfortable booth seating, and warm inside! The food was so delicious I forgot to take pictures of it. Great place, will come again!!!

What a wonderful experience! The space is simple and inviting, the staff was warm and kind. Rachelle and Christophe were gracious and made us feel at home. The salads were phenomenal. The salmon and the chicken were incredible, as were the sides we tried. Simple classic dishes that truly feature the ingredients. The crème brûlée and the chocolat mousse were divine. A wonderful addition to Branford. We can’t wait to return! À bientôt!

My husband and I loved this restaurant. We were visiting from out of town when we happened upon Otoulouse. One of the owners took care of us during our meal and was very pleasant and knowledgeable. We asked her for drink pairings with dinner and she was spot on with her recommendations. We had the mussels which were excellent. They were prepared with a curry broth and accented with apples. I had the pan seared duck breast and my husband had the steak frites. I try to keep low carb, and they were happy to accommodate the request by swapping the rice for ratatouille. Dessert was chocolate mouse for my husband and coffee. We had a lovely evening in the window seat looking over the ornamental tree garden.

The lettuce salad was excellent, light and flavorful, one can taste the addition of herbs. The roast chicken was excellent as well, the meat well marinated and the skin nicely crunchy. I was slightly disappointed by the Grand Marnier crepe as I felt that it could have used a stronger orange as well as Grand Marnier flavor. Overall, a good dinner where one can converse easily without too much noise and the service was welcoming. I would recommend it highly.

OToulouse Branford, a cozy French restaurant in Branford, Connecticut, captivated us with its remarkable fine dining experience. Dined here for the first time this week and will definitely be back! The food, atmosphere, and staff were amazing. We had the mussels as an appetizer, which were delicious, and our duck and salmon entrees were cooked to perfection. Flavors were perfectly balanced on the apple tart we had for dessert. I’m so glad we have a place in Branford that offers authentic French food- an overall great experience!
