I came here looking for good seafood pasta and Our Peoples Soulful Seafood definitely exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing! I came here as a group and we ordered their loaded seafood pasta, Cajun Salmon pasta, and Crawfish Pasta along with collards, Mac, yams, and hush puppies. Everything tasted great and the service was very attentive and friendly. Prices for these pasta can vary from $15-$28 but the portions stay generous so you are always certain to get your money’s worth. I will definitely be coming back again to try the rest of the menu and I know it won’t disappoint.

Let’s just say the food was exceptional. It exceeded my expectations. I’ve only live in VA for a few months and my favorite food is soul food. I’ve been dying to find me a good soul food place I even traveled across the bridge for this one. I will say the macaroni and cheese was a bit under seasoned but everything else was great! Especially the fried fish! I will definitely be back. I didn’t get to try the yams I’m truly upset about but I’m to blame for going one hour before closing but I will be back to get them!! Oh and AMAZING!! Nice workers! They were all really respectful except for the lady who put paper towels and toilet paper in the bathroom for me .. she seemed to have a attitude for some reason

The food was so delicious that I almost hate to wish the peppers were a little more firm in my shrimp and grits. The grits were great!! My daughter had Fish and shrimp. It was as good as it looked. The place was also very clean including the bathroom.

Attended a new restaurant today called Our People’s Soulful Seafood . It’s in the Ocean view section of Norfolk. This place is a hidden gem in our city. The fish was extremely good and although I’m not a fan of filet, I must say the fish tasted fresh and juicy. Having a seafood allergy Im limited to just fish. But it really good. My friend had shrimps, crab ball, clam strips and chicken tenders, fries with hush puppies. My friend said it was absolutely amazing. The owner was so kind explaining all the dishes to us . Can’t wait to go back. Please check this place out the food is cooked when ordered. You won’t regret it. 5 stars to Our Peoples Soulful Seafood.

Living in northeastern Pennsylvania, we have ZERO soul food spots! So I like to eat soul food when i can on vacation. Our Peoples soulful seafood was excellent. The shrimp fish and grits was excellent. My wife got the chicken and shrimp quesadilla which was excellent as well. Service was great and price was great as well. They did there thing in the kitchen.

Wonderful food. Had the chicken and shrimp quesidilla and it was incredible. Wait staff was very friendly and polite. Price was great too. So much food for your buck. Would definitely go back again!

Excellent customer service!!! I’ve been to a lot of black owned restaurants and a lot of times the customer service sucks!! But here OUR PEOPLE are nice, and attentive. Oh yeah and the food is Ridiculously GOOD!!!!
