We ate here once and were so impressed. We live about 1hr 45 min away. I got the best fried chicken dinner. My husband felt the same about his rib. Dinner. On sunday it was fathers day and our 46 anniversary. I requested to eat here again. But the trip was not suited for the whole family so we called and ordered to go. Got 2 whole ribs and 37 piece fried chicken dinner. Our family of 11 ate hardy when we got home. Everything was wonderfull lots of left overs. Cost only 82.00 . Even with gas prices it was a all out win. Loved everything and service.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for years. We were on our way home from Boscov’s and needed to eat. We stopped in and had their fried chicken and it is the best you’ll ever eat. No pre-fried chicken sitting under a heat lamp, took 20 min to get our order but it was it was fried fresh.

It’s kind of a quaint hole in the wall place but those are always the best. We got the fried chicken which was super juicy and flavorful and the half rack of ribs which were just phenomenal and fall off the bone tender. The portions are very generous and the prices are pretty good too. Highly recommend.

Visited for lunch on a Saturday. The service was barely polite. All of the food looked and tasted like it came out of a freezer bag. The whole experience felt like the owner had given up. Would not go back.

This place has the best chicken in town!!! KFC doesn’t stand a chance against Our Sons family Restaurant period. I mean dont get me wrong I do like me a little KFC, But come on now you wouldn’t rather eat a home cooked meal? Ever since KFC changed the mashed potato recipe it hasn’t been the same. Plus the atmosphere here is way better than any KFC!!! I’ve ordered their fried chicken and mashed potatoes and it was a blessing. Yeah sometimes you have to wait a lil bit and yeah sometimes they mess your order up but hey who dosen’t in the restaurant business?? And when they do people complain like fools nobody’s perfect. I would absolutely recommend this place. There’s a reason they have been around Johnstown forever, while everyone only lasts a few years
