Trucker passing through Chama, Stopped in for a quick bite. The food is phenomenal. Potentially some of the best brisket and ribs I’ve had in a long time. Potato salad is excellent as well. Parking lot circles completely around the building and there is ample space to get a semi truck in/out. The bar area is quiet, staff is helpful and there’s 3 big screens to catch a football game. Will absolutely be coming here again when i pass through.

Melina is the best, ask for her! So friendly and attentive! The food is great, my mom and I shared a steak, it could have easily fed 3 people as Melina said. Melvin Montano, an amazing local singer was playing during dinner, so amazing!

Highly recommended. One of two good restaurants in Chama (the other is the oddly-named Local). Everything I had was first-rate – brisket, pulled pork, turkey, potato salad, and coleslaw. Really nice interior decor, and nice folks working there. Very cool location adjacent to steam train turnaround wye. Chama NEEDS this restaurant. It is well worth your patronage.

I asked if they had salad and they had a side salad that 2 staff members said I could get grilled chicken on to meet my diabetic needs. However, the waitress and cook(owner’s husband) refused this request as they were too busy. It would have taken about 5 extra seconds to place the chicken, cheese, and chili’s on top of the side salad from the pre-made sandwich that they had. I even offered to pay for the whole sandwich. When I talked to the cook, he asked where I was from, made a snide comment, yelled at me, walked away leaving me in utter disbelief at how rude he was to a paying customer. I literally had a side salad for dinner.

Food was good. Staff is friendly. The only problem is if you want to substitute your sides, you are charged for them. The waitress didn’t tell us this so we were surprised when the bill came. Kinda pricey. Probably won’t return.
