Waitress took forever to even drop off menus, then didn’t have a clue. Wanted breakfast as no where on the menu that stated that they server breakfast until a certain time. Ordered a mushroom, Swiss hamburger asked if it came with fries, she said “I think so?”, it didn’t but she never came and told us otherwise. Burger said it came with crispy onions. Received a Hamburger, Swiss cheese, canned mushrooms and grilled onions on a tiny plate. Will not be dinner here again.

Stop in a little after 12 on a Sunday. Not very busy. Per the sign, we seated ourselves. The waitress brought menus and 3 glasses of water. They were small glasses so I asked for a pitcher. The waitress brought it pretty quick. Nearly 20 minutes later she had not come back to check on us or take our order. We left.

Food and service were horrible. Teenage waiter didn’t know the menu and kept going back and forth to ask questions. I ordered Steak and eggs and the steak was so thin it was probably skirt steak instead of the ribeye, which was advertised on the menu. The steak was overcooked as were the hashbrowns. Go elsewhere, I should have read the reviews 1st.

We were recommended by someone else in town, and it did not let us down. Service was super super nice, and their homemade salad dressing was delicious. My entree was also great. I highly recommend this to anyone passing through the de smet area.

One of those places that are few and far in between these days. I think lots of locals attend it was packed on one side it was more traditional with tables and chairs, the other side was more restaurant bar stools and bench seating. I was there around 12:30 1 in the afternoon there was only 1 waitress she was doing best she could but my wait time was a little longer than usual but she done a good job. I got a mushroom swiss burger was pretty decent my buddy got the cod dinner he had no complaints. There is enough room to park a big truck so truckers welcome. The place looks clean and decent kept.

Food wasn’t exactly delicious, edible, but not worth the money. Went over to the “grocery” store beside it, not much there either. Expired items for sale, empty shelves. Could put some work into it, to bring back the old charm.
