Best steak between Dallas and Austin for the price. I have never had a bad steak here.

This place is under new ownership. It is now called The Plate Factory. The inside has been cleaned up and given a make over.

Apparently we went on a bad night, Our waitress brought our food before appetizer and salad. We had to hunt her down twice to get our tea refilled and she did not offer any steak sauces with the steak. The steak was dry and not well seasoned. I guess she was a new waitress. The table was clean and the atmosphere was pleasant. I might try it again another time but not until I forget this time.

Friendly servers. The food was okay, but having processed cheese slice strips up on my chef’s salad was surprising and gross. I would have expected real cheese on a $9 salad that was mostly Romain. At least is was Romain lettuce and not iceberg. The portions were moderate, but considering the food was mediocre, I would expect more as some type of compensation (good food = smaller servings, bad food = larger servings). The green beans were soft and squishy, like out of a can and not fresh steamed, the fried zucchini and jalapeno starters were dark, almost burned, not browned. Overall a disappointing experience, especially for the price.

I hate writing this as this place used to have outstanding food. Our last two times there everything was way overcooked. As a steak lover I always order meat cooked Medium Rare, but it was so overdone this last time as to cause me to lose my appetite. Unfortunately this was not the only thing wrong in our last experience, so I am going to go in order.

Stopped in here last weekend while staying in Salado. The cheeseburger could not have been better…cooked perfectly and so tasty! The fries were excellent, and even the coke was better than usual. Excellent customer service, too. We talked to at least 3 employees, and all were very cordial and attentive. It was all positives!

We have eaten here on occasion and the food is typically good, but the help is less than desirable. Very chatty and noisy. Much to busy with their own agenda to tend to the customers. Last time I was there a server was eating in the dining room and was yelling at another server from across the room. I understand that good help is hard to find, but a little training and supervision would go a long way to making it a more enjoyable experience for the customers.

I eat here all the time, and you can have mixed nights. for the most part, the food is always good there. They are a little pricey. What I like is you can custom order the thickness of your ribeye. I like 1 3/4″ mediem rare. Perfect everytime. Their onion blossem is to die for. yumm yumm. The wait staff can be chatty, but what do you expect from young very attractive girls. Cell phone in hand most of the night, but they had my glass always full, and were very nice.I will continue going here as much as I can afford to. Like I said though pricey, espicially on the custom steak.

Stopping here was a BAD idea. We were on our way thru to Dallas, unbeknownst to us; five min down the highway are TONS of great places to eat. This place offers horrible food at unbelieveably high prices-try $25 for a $2 steak-it was that bad. The mashed potatoes tasted like they originated from a box, and sat out the entire day. Not even A1 steak sauce covered up the flavor-if you could call it that. Keep moving!

Ribs were awful: dry, not soft, vinegary bbq sauce. Felt sick halfway through second rib
