My wife and I travel frequently to Austin and have for a number of years. With two of our children here, we have dined out at many of Austin’s finest restaurants. I am a partner in a number of businesses in Sonoma County, California, including golf courses, theaters and a restaurant. I am rarely motivated to write a restaurant review, particularly a glowing review. My wife found Oz. Tap House online and it was very close to our hotel. My personal experience with tap houses is that they have great beer, but mediocre food and generally less than mediocre service.

Great food and good selection of beverages. This establishment seems to be super family friendly. There is a playscape outside and a foozeball table on the covered patio. My 9 year old and husband liked the shuffle board table under the three sports TV’s. We did notice that there were a lot of families with little kids. There was a birthday party for a 3 year old taking place on the patio, which took up 3 tables outside. In addition to that large group, there were several families with stroller age kids and tots inside the tap room. So again, great option for families of little kids. May want to hit it up more for happy hour during the week if you would rather see less kiddos. All in all, we enjoyed our first visit and will stop by again when we are out this way.

This place is a phenomenally awesome place to eat at and or get a large selection of on-tap beer. I never heard of Oz Tap House the day I noticed it and was simply driving by to find a place to eat. All I can say is “Wow!” on the pulled pork burger and the out-of-this-world tasting sweet potato fries and some sort of magical sauce that can be added as a side order. It will be a sin for this restaurant to ever take those items off of their menu . This place is definitely pricey, however, once you experience the food/beer on their menu, you’ll immediately know that the price paid is for a high-end meal that’s second to none.

Lovvve this place! Went for a hike nearby and stopped through to watch the NBA finals and little did we know, the tap options are all self-serve and it makes it such a fun experience! The drinks on tap include beer, wine, cocktails, etc and are all high end and delicious. Highly recommend dropping by this place if you are in the area 🙂

First time visiting and my husband and I were blown away at this concept. They have happy hour which is so rare these days. You pay for what you pour and they charge by the ounce. I poured a 7 ounce happy hour wine and paid $6! Food was great and service was also great! Honestly haven’t been to a restaurant that had as caring employees that they had, in a while. We’ll definitely be back!

What a fun and different experience! I visited the Oz Tap House with my husband and friends for the first time and did not know what to expect. The house taco’s were out of this world! The beer options were plentiful and it was a great way to try something new. I can’t wait to go back.

We absolutely love this place. It is the most perfect spot for families for single couples, date nights, children, and even pets. Both indoor and outdoor are both great. Everyone who works there is just absolutely friendly and makes you feel like you matter and that you are important. I highly highly highly recommend this place. I even recommend it for parties from engagement party’s graduation party’s birthday parties, even baby showers anything this place rocks!

Tried this place out for Father’s Day and had a blast. We had the tacos, nachos, and quesadillas and it was all excellent. The self-serve drink selection had some great cocktail and beer options. Atmosphere was appealing and the restrooms were clean. We played some shuffleboard and the kids had fun on the playground outside. We’ll definitely be back.

While visiting a family member in Austin, Texas, we found this super cool taproom. Service was fantastic! COLE, ALEX, SARAH and JORDAN were so helpful and friendly that it made the experience even better! The food was amazing! It is so family friendly and to be able to get a 1 ounce taste of anything you want is so fun. They give you a key card connected to your credit card so you can grab a drink when you want it. There’s also an ounce limit on the card, so they can keep people safe. The taps will not work if you’ve had too much, but when the whole table is connected to one card you have to ask for help with the limit issue. I took pictures because it is just so cool inside. Whoever designed and decorated, is insanely creative and artistic! (I’m guessing Cole’s mom?)
