I visited this place a handful of times so far and never a bad service. Somehow I never had to wait to get seated, unlike many other restaurants. The food is amazing. The pictures are from a family outing. We ordered a bit of everything. Great newish Japanese restaurant with cool vibe and awesome food. (I used to go to Kobe a lot but the wait there is always over an hour. Same time, this place seats you right away).

We recently went to Ozora Izakaya and while the food was good, there were a couple of things that could be improved. Firstly, there was a bit of a wait to get seated and the service was a bit slow. But, the food made up for it – most we tried were really delicious, except for the Shiitake Mushroom and quail eggs skewers. Unfortunately, the Shiitake Mushroom skewer was a bit dry and the quail eggs didn’t have much flavor. On the plus side, the portion sizes were decent and reasonably priced.

This is a fantastic tapas place tucked away in a great spot in Sugarhouse. Everything we had was delicious, and the timing that they brought them out at was perfect. The service was great, and the decor and layout created a nice atmosphere for a date night out.

First time I ordered from this restaurant and I already can tell that they give me the wrong order. Im pretty sure this is not the ozora roll that was displayed in the menu and its completely a different type of sushi roll and Im so disappointed because I expected so much from this restaurant since its got a 4.4 rating. I usually order sushi from a different japanese restaurant in salt lake city and they have never made a mistake like this not even once. I hope this serves as a lesson to whoever is responsible for taking the orders. Please always double check before you give it to the doordash or ubereats delivery person. Doesn’t mean that if the restaurant is almost closing then you’re gonna have to compromise the service.

The food tasted great and was amazing but Then, I found plastic in my order and pulled it out of my teeth. I hope this is a one time issue because I’m definitely trying this place again. I will update my review in a couple of days.

Nice place to hang out to drink and eat with your friends! We got skewers and some cooked foods but I would like to try the sushi next time 🙂

This izakaya is a jewel in Sugar House. They are going for a mix of traditional but also fusion Japanese tapas and for the most part they get it right. Authenticity may be slightly compromised but overall undoubtedly they have made a genuine effort. Everything is pretty much awesome, from the beef to the fish, tempura to the rolls. The place is not overly swanky but can pass for a date place, also a business meal, or even family with kids I’d say. But what really makes this place hum are the reasonable prices compared to the caliber of the food. My group had a lovely time and will definitely return!

Seemed as of they were newly established (or short staffed). There was one waitress, who also was the hostess, cleaned the tables, and bartender. Food portions were not as expected but wasn’t bad in taste still not the greatest – seemed a bit bland. We tried alcoholic beverages, sushi rolls, and roughly 3 other dishes for the full experience. Pricing wasn’t bad so that helped to make things a bit better.

This is our favorite sushi place! I tend to feel disappointed with sushi restaurants in Salt Lake because they don’t usually have a fun vibe but this place makes me feel like I am in another city. It’s kind of funny because every time we walk up to the door it doesn’t look like the restaurant is going to be open but when you go inside, it’s a warm, fun and vibrant atmosphere. They play fun music and it feels current and great. A great place to go with friends or for a date night. We also love the sushi rolls! All the food is absolutely delicious. We can’t wait for summer time because the patio looks like it will be so great for summertime dining. Hopefully more people will keep going here and support it so it stays open!

This was a phenomenal restaurant!!! It is tucked back in between buildings but well worth finding. The ambiance, decor, food, and staff make it 5 stars. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very friendly. The tuna tartar wasn’t some of the best I have ever had!! I don’t live in SLC but visit often and would not hesitate in coming back to eat at this restaurant nor would there be any hesitation in recommending this to friends and family that live here. A million thanks for a most wonderful dining experience.
