Great place to go out for a date night or hang out with a friend at their bar. Not meant for larger groups. The staff is wonderful and the place is one of the nicest in Porterville. The drinks and food are what one should expect from such a nice restaurant. Pick a person and go have a great conversation.

Used to love this place, but just had the worst experience. Possibly newbie bartender that can’t make a cocktail to save his life. I asked for my regular, which it was awful and way too sour. When I asked for a redo he dumped it out and laughed with his friends that were at the bar about the situation. It also took him 10 minutes to even look back out direction which his friends at the bar had to let him know we needed service. Maybe we will come back when someone else is behind the bar. We still paid for the drinks but did not drink a drop after the snickering. Rude and inadequate. SMH

At the recommendation of our hotel desk clerk, at Holiday Inn Express Porterville, we went to Palace Kitchen and Craft Bar. We were extremely pleased with our experience. My husband and I shared the Brussel Sprouts Appetizer, which was fantastic. The Sourdough Bread was excellent. For our entrees, I had the Chicken Tequila Penne, and my husband had the Skillet Chicken. We both had good, cold Craft Beer, also. We have been traveling for 3 months, and this was the best food we’ve had on our trip! Kudos also for our server; Gwyn! She was attentive and very friendly. We highly recommend Palace Kitchen & Craft Bar!
