I’m from Texas, we consider Palmetto ‘a hole in the wall ‘ That’s nearly always a good thing in my eyes. It’s definitely a good thing with Palmetto! I googled good BBQ and then I googled BBQ reviews by locals. I chose Palmetto & I’m so glad I did! I loved everything except the fried chicken. I didn’t get any because I couldn’t fit it on my plate . It’s priced conservatively. Sweet tea is great. I didn’t know exactly how to use the sauce (what kind to use?) I’ve only ever had red. I liked the yellow! It’s not better than Texas BBQ it’s just that they are different. Both are good if you get the right cook .

Clean and traditional restaurant for some solid southern food. The selection was very simple but the quality was good for the buffet price. My favorite was the mac and cheese, hush puppies, and pulled pork.

Exactly what you think….. BBQ buffet. Food was ehhh nothing to really rave about. It was clean so that’s a plus. You would think they would have collard greens, nope they didn’t. Hash was very bland, BBQ was watery, Mac n cheese was okay but very greasy, fried chicken was actually very food along with the hush puppies. Banana pudding, was good. The “original” sauce tasted like honey mustard. Maybe I just had to high of expectations for a buffet. I feel $43 was very much for a buffet with not very many options. I get it rising food costs, blah blah blah. But to each is to own.

This is a mom-and-pop, country-type buffet restaurant, complete with sweet tea, Styrofoam plates, and banana pudding. I visited for lunch on a Saturday with a large party. We were brought in, warmly greeted, and entered the buffet line. The food was simple and good – fried chicken, pulled pork, green beans, white rice, hush puppies, baked beans, macaroni & cheese, potato salad, sweet pickles, and yes – banana pudding. We paid $16 each and that included sweet tea. For us, it hit the spot for a Saturday lunch.

This place is not good. The thought that they are a BBQ place is a total lie. They charge way to much for inedible food. My family of seven spent over $100 and not one of us was able to hold it down including my son who is in the military. Mustard based BBQ sauce is gross. I would like to help anybody do not eat here. The old stale bread was probably the best thing

Amazing!!! Can’t believe it took me so long to visit. Plus it’s much closer than the counterpart. Workers are friendly. Food was always stocked and hot! Hash was a little runny but flavor was on point. Bbq meat was fabulous. Fried chicken was fresh.

$16 buffet includes tea and sales tax. Great pulled pork and fried chicken, delish Cole slaw, hush puppies & Bread & Butter pickles… Yum. We weren’t crazy about the hash & rice nor the banana pudding. Hash seemed like just bbq sauce and pudding was just weird like instant pudding mixed with cool whip, no bananas, just 2 cookies. Overall it was ok. Probably won’t choose this again.

Great little BBQ buffet place to stop in for a quick meal. Pulled pork, fried chicken, hash and rice, mac & cheese were all good. Hash has a tomato base and unique flavor. Very good over rice. I prefer the spicy sauce but the original is good too.

Amazing barbecue, fried chicken and the BEST banana pudding!!!! We stop here yearly on our way to FL and just love the food nothing like it that I’ve had before. Great food and great hospitality!! We stopped right before closing and they were so hospitable and gave us sweet tea for the ride.
