Nice small town Cafe. The atmosphere was nice, staff pleasant. Order was fast and on the table pretty quick. The food was good and plentiful. Price was good for what we ordered.

The food was great. The service was just okay. We had reservations for 8ppl at 6:30pm. We all ordered the all you can eat special. They were very unprepared. Waited entirely too long for drinks and food and when they started bringing our our “family style” meal, they didn’t even bring enough for everybody to start on their first plate. Half of us were eating and the other half waited an additional half hour. After two plates were brought out we were informed that was the last of one of the items. What???? We had a reservation and ordered all you can eat special at 6:30pm!! Sadly, we were all dissatisfied and it put a damper on our mothers 77th bday dinner… also, no compensation was offered and a few in our party left hungry…

I have my truck serviced at Jennings Chevrolet. I stopped in the opera house this morning for breakfast. Best breakfast I have had in many restaurants. They were getting ready to make pork tenderloin’s from some really nice looking pork chops.

My husband likes the ribs and I like the catfish nuggets they have. Ribs are usually every other Friday. Call before you go if you think you want ribs. They sell out pretty fast.

Pleasant surprise in a small town. While not the best pork tenderloin I’ve had it was real and not from a prebreaded Sysco box. The breading was simple, probably flour. Would return if needing a meal in northern Macoupin County.
