The food was good over all..But the cornbread was a bit mushy. The cake was horrible, it crumbled, and the frosting was thick, lumpy, & looked a mess.. I wouldn’t serve such messed up food to no one. That cake & cornbread should’ve been put in the trash & made over..$35.16 for 2 dinner plates of food leave no room for messed-up food of any kind cornbread, cake or not… I bought a plate last Sunday & I had no complaints. The cake & cornbread was great along with the rest of my order. That’s why I ordered 2 plates this Sunday..And was disappointed..

Worker at the FedEx Office Store in Alexandria Louisiana recommended this place to me. Well I’m glad he did. Upon entering I was greeted with a big welcome to Pamela’s Bayou In A Bow. I ended up ordering the Crawfish Etouffee with the green beans with potatoes and cornbread. For dessert I ordered a piece of homemade cake with light icing. If I’m not mistaken the cost of this meal was $19 total this includes taxes of course. Overall this was a pretty good dish with a decent amount of food. But I must say the best part of this meal was actually the green beans with potatoes. The customer service was pretty good. Since I do work in the area often I will definitely check this place out again in the future.

Food was pretty good, lunch special 4 wings for advertised $9.99 but was charged $12.99. Wings were flavorful but unfortunately room temp. Sweet potatoes was way too sweet, felt like eating a spoon of honey and sugar. Mac n’ cheese was delicious though.

Pamela has been preparing soul food for this community for years and she is the best. Every day has a different menu lineup with a few regular items like fried chicken wings. Today I had the red beans and rice and she had the pork roast. We are regulars and we’ve never been disappointed at Pamela’s!

Absolutely loved it. Took the entire family. Thank y’all so much for opening up Pamela’s in Alexandria, La. It’s an absolute treat to have excellent food, service, and price combined. With genuine people giving love back in so many ways. On top of that they know exactly what they’re doing will make you hurt yourself. Definitely returning again and bringing a friend. A must-try restaurant if you’re visiting Alexandria. Don’t let the photos fool you; the presentation is basic but the flavors are phenomenal. The baked chicken was perfectly seasoned and the red beans and sausage were packed with flavor – all the sides were excellent as well.
