I spent $70+ dollars on a few doubles and some Dahl. Me personally I felt that the food was under seasoned and over priced. I’m from NYC so I hold my food standards pretty high. The people who worked there told me the food was good. I disagree. I know you guys can do better.

The doubles were absolutely perfect! Soft and delicious! The beef and chicken roti also perfectly delicious! Will definitely make the trip from Cape Coral again for their wonderful food!

Not sure what happened to this place because the food used to be exceptional. The owner is always kind, but if the food tastes bland, good customer service alone isn’t enough to keep me coming back. We ordered a curry and a jerk chicken Roti. Instead we got one Roti and some jerk chicken and rice which tasted like water. Was pretty disappointed since we came from Clearwater for this experience. I’ll be searching for a new Roti spot.

Definitely a good spot for some local Trini cuisine. All halal just in case you’re wondering. Decent space mad also doubles (no pun intended) as a grocery store, though the shelves are sparse. You can’t get ALL the things you miss and love from Trinidad but I was personally drawn to the Ovaltine biscuits – I had to resist. They could have a better selection of snacks like salt prunes and red mango and even if Solo drinks but it’s possible they were just out. I had a chicken roti and it was very tasty. First bite was bland but that might have been my dry mouth! The pepper sauce – on form!!! You’ll love it! It was interesting to see that the patrons were mostly white folks. Service was very hospitable here and I really loved the proprietors. I grabbed a kurma for the road and dipped. Check it out if you love some Trini food!

My husband and I visited Pam’s Roti Shop for the first time in July of 2021. Lenny greeted us and was friendly and very helpful. We ordered curry chicken and buss up shot roti, jerk chicken which came with cabbage and rice, and doubles. Pam’s cooking is amazing! Then she came out and introduced herself to us. She’s a doll. She was so pleasant and kind. She even gave me a piece of her Spanish thyme to bring back to Oklahoma.

This is one of our go to places when my daughter is in town. While it is not fancy inside we spend time looking at the various Caribbean food and spices available for purchase.

Unique shop with hot food inside. Fresh, tasty and good portion. The roti is different than the Indian restaurants. They serve a gigantic one with some type of flour in between. Messy to eat but what a treat. One of the must try in St Pete.

Simple Caribbean grocery with canned goods, hot sauces, jerk spice, Caribbean beers. They have limited menu and tables. I haven’t tried the food but heard to was great. Plan to try out soon!
