Finally a mixed burrito, no more biting into just sour cream! This was my favourite burrito place back in college, better than Chipotle any day. I introduced it to a friend visiting from texas and he now insist we drive 3 hours to get some every time he visits. It’s that good.

Pancheros has always given me good food. However the past couple times I have visited the customer service has gone down hill. Today’s visit consisted employees moving way to fast and not adding things to the burrito we asked for and completely forgetting drinks for our meal. So we had to do another transaction for the drinks. Not to mention the poor hygiene of the female that made our burrito, makes you loose an appetite when you see completely black teeth from an employee when they are talking.. please brush your teeth more..

Panchero’s as a franchise is great but this location was less than disappointing. The employees didn’t seem to care or enjoy their job and the team Leader was out smoking a cigarette right next to the door when I walked in. My burrito was watery and was wrapped very poorly. These employees need better training, better supervision and management really needs to up their game on quality control.

The food was delicious. This place has potential but unfortunately their employees could not care any less about their jobs. Honestly it was pretty comical how little they gave a fudge. They couldn’t be bothered to even enunciate their words. I had to laugh how bad it was. I can’t imagine the interview process – how bad was your applicant pool that these were the best candidates??

The food is good very similar to Chipotle and the location & later hours (11pm on weekdays i think) are convenient. However on my last few visits the staff seem to have that “just dont care” attitude and the restaurant seems to be going downhill from what it use to be when it first opened. All the employees move very slowly hardly caring about even serving you, they dont speak loud enough for you to hear what they are asking or telling you, are far from being polite (no welcome or hello, and no thank you’s), on occasion they could barely muster enough effort to mix the burrito ingredients up before wrapping it up and putting it in the bag (which i thought was what was suppose to make this place different than other burrito places) and one time when trying to eat here the employees had locked both entrances when the restaurant should have otherwise been open (it was about 2 hours before they where suppose to close) and no one could be seen in the restaurant even though all the lights & tvs where still on, but the food had all been put up, i even called the restaurant asking to be let in and was told that they “had technical difficulties” that evening and could not serve any food for the rest of the night, and while on the phone with them, an employee emerged from the kitchen & walked to the bathroom without acknowledging me at all or that i was knocking on the door and then disappeared back into the kitchen. It was obvious to me that the employees wanted to close early and not have to serve any more customers or cook anymore food but still wanted to remain clocked in as if they had been open like they where suppose to have been. Needless to say i think ill start to go to a different burrito place in the future that has better customer service and has a more inviting and friendly atmosphere.

What I love about this place is the fresh made tortilla and the “Bob” for mixing all the ingredients together so the burrito is even. Those are the two things that make Pancheros different from the other burrito places. What makes it similar is the build as you go line concept. The food was good, not in your face flavor, but overall a decent burrito. I recommend using the grenade hot sauce that is by the soda fountain!

I have had good experiences at the location in Urbana and haven’t had it for a while. So I figured I’d try it out. Walked in and the staff behind the counter just stared into space. I said hello, they stared at me then back into space. Finally I got my burrito. The tortilla wasn’t even warm. Then while I was getting my order, staff kinda glared at the people I came with. The food was alright, kinda pricey. Worst experience with pancheros I’ve ever had.

After a bad first experience at the other location, I gave this one a try and I’m glad I did. Burrito was do much better, and didn’t completely fall apart like the other one. Great alternative to La Bambas (which I love) at a more convenient location. Employees have been very nice both times I’ve been, even though once was right when they opened, and the other was shortly before they closed. I was unaware it was 15 minutes before they closed, and I felt bad being “that guy”, but they assured me I was fine.

This place has really big burritos for 10ish dollars. Definitely will fill you up every time. Just a great value here as they serve chips and salsa alongside your meal. I would describe this place as a sit down restaurant but generally it’s not too busy to just grab a quick bite here either.

Tastes like home made Chipotle, and I mean that in the best way possible. The flour tortilla for the burrito was incredible. All of the food tasted so fresh, and there were more toppings you could put on your burrito. The queso was awesome as well. Im not going to chipotle anymore after eating here.
