Placed order through their kiosk. Said 20 minutes for order. 50 minutes later we got our order. While waiting on an item to cook to complete our order they packaged everything but that item and let it sit on the assembly line for over 15 minutes until the missing item was ready. Needless to say everything but the freshly cooked item was Luke warm at best. We get that they had to wait for something to cook but 30 extra minutes to wait and Luke warm food is just bad business. Extremely disappointed with the Ellensburg Panda Express. Won’t be going back anytime soon if ever.

The people standing at the counter will not take your order, they will only point you to a kiosk. Even if you ask they are unwilling.

The food is always so fresh but they changed the noodles they use, because these ones now almost mush together and arent as thick.

Only sometimes I get the food I ordered most of the times it’s other things even when I paid the extra fee for honey walnut and get stuck with orange chicken. Half the time my meals are only a quarter of the serving because I just got some and I can see the bottom on both orders. I understand why they don’t have a number because they would be swamped with people asking why their order isn’t right.

This is easily the most asinine fast food restaurant location I’ve ever been to. The list goes on of how inconvenient this place is. There’s no drive through. It closes at 7, which is pretty early for a fast food place. It only takes debit/credit card or connection card, no cash. Even then, if their “system is down” for SOME REASON it works fine still for connection cards but not regular debt/credit cards. This location doesn’t even have a phone number. So if it happens that the hours on Google are wrong, or it snows too hard and has to shut down or another reason like those where it isn’t open, you have to physically go there to find out. I can’t count how many times I wasted my time traveling down there only to find out it’s not even open. The only resean I even continually go here is because I like Panda Express and it’s the only location in town. If there was another location close by you bet I wouldn’t waste my time and money going to this one.

Let me start by saying I am super hyped that Panda Express opened here in Ellensburg. Fortunately, there are very few issues at this location. For starters, the location is great if you live next to the dorms. It’s convenient especially if you have a parking pass (this location was made primarily for students). The real cherry on top is the wonderful hours and their approach to handling customers. 11am – 7pm Monday-Friday. In this town, there aren’t many people who are at class/work during that time frame, especially on the weekdays. They have said they may expand their hours, but there doesn’t seem to be a need for this as most students don’t have many classes on weekends. What’s even better, at the beginning of their first opening week they were cutting the line 30 minutes before closing. It just makes sense. Who of us would want to stay hours after our shift, after the close of the restaurant, just to make sure every customers gets to eat? Very conscientious employees. I was worried this location being partnered with CWU would cause issues, but none of my fears have come true. It’s amazing. I’m really happy with how this is managed, and I don’t think they need to worry about opening weekends. Thanks Geritol.

Just to clarify a few things, from someone who has worked there, on why certain reviews say certain things. First of all, The “crab wontons” are not crab wontons, they are not advertised as such, in fact they are advertised as “cream cheese rangoons.” The way panda express is set up often leads to many different experiences depending on who is serving you. There is a standardized system for giving out portions, but unlike many other fast food establishments, this system is harder to get exact every time. Compared to the guildlines many workers at panda give way above the amount reccomended, especially when it comes to teryaki chicken. Quality of service likely differs depending on time of day, number of staff working, and who is working. I have never been on a shift where 15 people were working, and 90 percent of time we are very understaffed. This place is extremely popular, and the kitchen is simply not set up to handle that much food, especially when there are not full cooks present. It is frustrating to stand in a 30 minute line for fast food and then possibly not have your first pick of the 6 different chickens, but when all the above is considered, we are trying our best. We always serve our customers with a smile, despite knowing that it is far from perfect. All that I ask is that every one of these circumstances above is taken into consideration before you give a bad review.

It’s a college campus Panda Express, people who work here were super nice. Definitely order ahead with the Grubhub app if you’re a student as the line gets pretty long. Wish they were open weekends :,)
