After reopening, they have done very well bringing back the food ever since the original owner passed. For about 20 dollars, the food is quite good, and it came out fast for me, and the serving amount is huge! Definitely worth the money. after I ate, I had the rest go into a to-go box, and it looked like I hadn’t even touched it, and I ate half of it! The service was nice too, and it was pretty clean. After the owner passed, I’ll admit, the food wasn’t the way it used to be, but when they closed, they reopened and it’s almost the way it used to be, best 20$ I spent on a meal in a long time.

Panda Garden re-opened about 6 months with new owners. My family and I have visited several times and it has been consistently great. The food portions are large, always fresh and hot, and the prices are competitive. Wait time was minimal. Keep up the great work!

I’ve been waiting days for this restaurant to get their wonton soup back in stock as they’ve been running out of food often.. anyways, I’ve never tried their wonton soup before… and to say the least I am very disappointed. it was water with wontons in it.. Their food is mediocre at best — not worth their wait time or your precious money.

Panda Garden used to be the best Asian-American restaurant in Northeast Iowa in terms of food, ambiance, service, and overall value. Went downhill after the passing of the original owner (a great man), though his family kept it going for a while best they could. Since new ownership, the quality has dropped significantly to the point where I only order crab rangoons for takeout. (The rangoons are quite good!) I remember its former era fondly, and hope that someday the rest of its food might improve so I can recommend it again. I haven’t tried its dishes for several years, so I will give it another chance later this year in case it’s improved.

Closed and unsure if they are opening again. Phone was disconnected or possibly just off for now. Also sign on door only states “Sorry closed” with no reopening plans or other info.

It’s definitely nothing special and you won’t find anything new or exciting at Panda Gardens but for a town like Cresco it is a godsend! They’re food is always cooked perfectly, the service is fast, polite, and the food tastes exactly as it should.

Best in the area of small towns around Decorah. Sometimes serves Thai dishes, too. Small, quiet place. Husband cooks, wife serves. The soft wonton appetizer is good. Singapore noodles, curry shrimp, crispy chicken all very nice. Also, a crazy large ceramic vase more than 5 feet tall?

Think we got day old food today, normally it’s great when we visit. Today was absolutely disgusting! Noodles were over cooked and mushy $50 bill for food we left sitting there
