I use to LOVE coming to Panda Garden. After Korea House closed, it’s one of the few places here in Lincoln that I could order Korean Food. My most favorite meal being the Korean Short Ribs, served with white rice & Korean side dishes (typically Kimchi, seaweed salad, etc.) My last visit 4 visits have been disappointing. When the husband of the eatery is cooking, the food is hot, seasoned & usually very good. He always gives a decent amount of side dishes, along with the main dish. I’ve attached photos of the amount of Kimchi I received after paying $17 for my short rib meal. The wife of the shop is so stingy when it comes to giving side dishes out, and her cooking is always rushed with poor quality. There was no “juice” or “sauce” on my short ribs, just dry, bland meat. I paid $17 for my meal and she piled my side dish container with some sort of spicy potatoes, mixed with jalapeños? I went looking for my kimchi, the best pairing with short ribs & rice. The amount I received with my $17 is ridiculous. I suppose that I should’ve paid an extra $2 to receive a decent amount. I understand times are tough, and I don’t mind paying up for a good meal. Kimchi is relatively inexpensive to make, there is no excuse not to provide customers with an amount that reflects the price of the “meal” that doesn’t even include a drink.

I’ve been going to Panda Garden since they opened and it’s still one of my favorite Korean restaurants in the Midwest. Some things have changed over the last 20+ years but the food has always been good and I enjoy the mom and pop atmosphere.

Dulcet bi bim bop served traditional in the hot stone bowl with meat and egg and rice and veggies all still cooking together is our family favorite. We don’t talk after this dish hits the table.

I ordered the bulgogi and it was delicious and the portions were generous. And my takeout order – on a Friday at lunchtime was ready to go quickly.

When you first walk in you feel like you’re walking into an immaculate temple deep inside a jungle wilderness. It’s a testament to the good health and high quality food that the plants all around you are thriving. Delicious and authentic food is served with a warm smile that fills your physical and psychological belly. I’ve never enjoyed a dining experience more than I have at Panda Garden. Very happy that they’re here in Lincoln; we’re very lucky.

Excellent Restaurant. The Order at the counter and have them “shout out” when your meal is ready is a bit “off putting.” I was sad their Kimchi Bar is closed but they served a small sampling with the meal. Refills would have been appreciated. Overall decent food that I would try again.

Delicious little Korean restaurant! The food is really tasty and the couple that run it are adorable and so polite! I recommend you try the bibimpap although everything else on the menu is just as great. The pot stickers are my favorite!
