Ive been coming here since I was a kid. Great breakfast food that feels like it was cooked at home. Not even diner food feels this authentic. The establishment is clean (which is a big draw for me), the food is plentiful and affordable. The staff is super attentive and friendly. They even play calming music in the background. On the weekends you’ll stand in line for a table, but the weekdays its easy to get in. Theres parking in the back. You don’t have to find street parking. Even though it’s small, it doesn’t feel or look run down. Great little spot on state street!

I frequently stop here when I am on my way through to New York City. This place has some special significance to me because we used to visit someone in New Haven before they moved and we would always go here. Its a pretty hip place, I love the jazz music and theme and the super low prices. The food is pretty good, especially the home fries which are always nice and crispy and have a few extras like chives thrown in. The pancake stacks are huge, and once again I was defeated leaving an embarassing pancake and a half behind. Although the food os good and the price is great, it lacks that true perfection I seek out when giving a full five. If you’re looking for a quaint spot for a lot of breakfast for not a lot of money this is a real safe bet.

*cash only* What a delightful little spot. We went at a busy time (Saturday at around 11am). Despite there being a line of about 10 people in front of us we were seated in less than 15 minutes. The staff was warm and helpful. The cinnamon pancake was phenomenal and the omelet was also delicious. I’d highly recommend this fun brunch spot.
