We pass this place weekly and every time say we are going g to stop. Today we did and we’re not disappointed. We asked for our sausage and mushroom NY crust well done and it came out perfectly crispy! The sausage was shaved, sauce perfect and cheese fresh. We got mild wings to start and they were very mild, but nice and crispy. They have Woodbridge wines and a small selection of beers, we had Peroni.

I got the Margherita pizza and 2 cannolis. While the service was quick, the food was disappointing. The margherita pizza was not the typical margherita pizza you would expect, which is fine. But this one just didn’t work for me. It was bland and dry and was just dough and cheese with a few tomato slices thrown on top. Nothing special. The cannolis started off good, but once you took more than one bite they were both empty in the center. I was left feeling disappointed. I’m sure their other pizzas (pepperoni, etc.) might be good, but steer clear of the Margherita.

Spent almost $50 on this meal and wasn’t able to eat any of it. The caprese panini wasn’t toasted and the prosciutto on it tasted horrible. The penne alla vodka tasted like straight burnt…no other way to put it. The noodles were badly undercooked and the smell coming off it was very unappetizing. The fries tasted like rubber and were cooked in what seems to be very old oil. I used to really like their fries but something must’ve changed… the salad was a sorry excuse and the bruschetta was the only thing I was able to put down… although the bread was soggy and the tomatoes just didn’t really taste that good. Definitely not the ingredient to cheap out on since it’s the main part of the dish. Extremely disappointed and have always had a bad experience here.

The pizza here is soo good, they have the best crust. Just tried them for the first time, and it’s really the best crust I’ve had in South Carolina. Their sauce is delicious, the toppings are fresh, and their prices are excellent for the quality and speed of service. Everyone here was pleasant and helpful. Definitely recommend, and I am definitely coming back.

Papa Gio’s Pizzeria was great!!!! I’ve been in South Carolina for years (originally from Brooklyn NY) and I haven’t had a real slice of pizza in 28 or more years, but my cousin told me about Papa Gio’s so I went to check it out. I got 2 slices of Pizza and a Coke, I died and went to heaven . It was so good I ate 2 more slices. Great customer service and the owner Vinny is great! You know it’s a good slice when you fold it, the cheese drips down and you turn your head to bite into it and catch the cheese at the same time!!

Food is always good, best pizza I found so far in the Columbia area, similar to pizza from in upstate NY. Good garlic knots, mozzarella sticks, white pizza. My favorite side of sauce for the mozzarella sticks that I have ever had, as I usually don’t use the sauce at other places, but theirs is just right to me. Staff is friendly and service is always good. We been coming here for about 5-6 years now and my parents who are straight from Italy like their food the best of all the pizza restaurants in the area of which we have been to so far.
