We travel nurse around the country, and frequent Papa John’s everywhere we go. This is hands-down the worst location in the entire United States we’ve ever been to. We always order pizza sauce for the stuffed crust and the packets are consistently a quarter of the way full, when we are paying for the sauce! I have to bring it back in every time, and usually some guy with dirty hands at the front just scoops more sauce into the container and hands it back to me covered in pizza sauce on the outside. There’s little to zero you know what’s given from any employee at this location. Every time you go in there are several people standing around waiting to be helped, the parking lot stays trashed, and overall the inside just doesn’t feel like it’s sanitary. Very unfortunate that this is the only location around New Haven. 🙁 Won’t be ordering out here again on this assignment.

I ordered two pizzas with no cheese for carryout, only to get home and realize they had cheese. This is a small problem for my lactose intolerant stomach, so I called the store to ask for new pizzas. But, the manager said I would need to bring the pizzas back before they would make new ones or give me a refund.

I ordered for pickup. The person at the front was friendly. My pizza was done on time and was hot when I picked it up. It was perfect – great sauce, nice crust, and nicely firm. Good pizza places are few and far between in CT. Having lived here for 3 years, I have only found 3 really good ones, and this is definitely one of those best ones
