I decided to order myself Papa John’s today since I was working across the street. I placed the order to pickup and it was ready ahead of time. I ended up being taken care of by the General Manager Zach and he was very friendly. I come to Allentown often and stay at a hotel across from Dorney Park and have tried to get delivery online, but was never able to. I told Zach about this and he said in the future to just call and he would take care of the delivery. Now to the important part of this review. I have to give this location . Besides the great and friendly service, the pizza was delicious and the sauce had a great tangy taste and a great kick to it with the toppings. I got a Large with pepperoni & Italian sausage to it. If you love, or even like a bit a spiciness to your meal, this is it. I have to highly recommend this location when in the area. If you can’t order online, give them a call, so you don’t miss out on their great pizza,

ALL I HAD ORIGINALLY WAS A QUESTION ABOUT A PROMO CODE FOR AN ONLINE ORDER. It wasn’t working, so I called and quickly explained why I was calling. Jon first explained they are not responsible for what corporate does, or what happens on the Internet. I said that I just wanted to know if I was in error or what, but Jon just continued to get my information. I literally explained 3 times that he could not find my order as I never put it in because of the promo code. It took 5 times for him to get my 2 large 2-topping pizza order straight. When I asked if he would honor the promo code coupon, he began stammering. I asked for the manager, Jon refused twice because he was busy. I had to insist. I was put on hold. Jon comes back on to take my order. I asked for the manager. Jon said he’s busy. I had to order Jon to get the manager.

It was good before but recently it is very bad. I was loyal customer but my order recently was very bad. I ordered normal cheese and normal crust, and I got extra cheese and deflated no yeast crust. Very disappointing, will visit here in about 1000 years.

I have to say I really do enjoy Papa John’s Pizza but unfortunately they use doordash and other apps to deliver your pizza when their drivers are busy and I do not like my deliveries from those apps!! I had an order for pizza it was over 1 hour late and I never received it so I called the store and they did take care of it. I’m very disappointed in the delivery service from doordash if you order pizza from them and buy them I mean Papa John’s please make sure they are delivering with their own delivery people. I had doordash deliver pizza that was over 2 hours late Papa John’s did resend the order with their delivery people but if you order from Papa John’s or any pizza place please make sure they use their own delivery people again Papa John’s did deliver the pizza with their own driver but it should have never been that late with doordash it was just a big mess!! Please make sure you use Papa John’s delivery service and not doordash doordash is terrible with their deliveries!!

Created an online order last night around 9:30 before the business closed. They called to cancel my order, stating that the driver was out for the rest of the night delivering pizzas. They offered a free pizza if I call to place it. I personally rather order online because I don’t like speaking to their staff. None of them act like they care and just want me to get off the phone. I called this afternoon explaining the situation, when the person on the phone told me to call back at 4pm because they were a “new manager” and didn’t know how to redeem the free pizza that was offered. Papa Johns – at least this location – is frustrating to deal with. Pizza has one of the biggest amount of competitors in a single area. I wish that Papa John’s staff would realize that before they’re out of work.
