I have been getting papa m pizzas for at least 20 years, since I lived out west where they originated. I know from experience with these Texas stores that if you call in your order they will give you a pre-made pizza ( sauce and cheese already on it). It is not really that hard to make, so not sure why they feel the need to do this. The sauce ends up drying out. So I went in to the Bowen location to get 2 pizzas to take to the lake for the weekend. It was about 10 am or so, and they were not busy. I asked the girl to make them fresh. She said they had to use the pre-makes first. I asked when they were made and she said she thought last night. Well, they definitely weren’t made that morning or she would have known. So I said no, please make it fresh. She did so begrudgingly. I asked for both original crust. I didn’t realize until I was baking them that the pepperoni was thin crust because I kind of burned it thinking it needed to cook longer. I guess thin crust has a shorter time and maybe temp? So I guess that’s my last papa Murphy’s. Frozen pizza would have been better. And also I noticed as I was sitting there that the store was pretty dirty. For just opening they had not swept or mopped. Food and crumbs were up under the counter.

Have always been excited about visiting this location and happy about the food quality and great service. Apparently there’s a new manager. Some white guy and what a jerk. I was charged for a side of sauce. Since when is Papa Murphy’s that hard up for money? Shame on Papa Murphy’s or the manager. We’ve been going there for years and this was the first time I’ve felt outraged and insulted. Not valued at all.

The kids that worked last night, (June 17, 2022) including the new girl, we’re all very professional and made me redo my review. Obviously they got rid of the no good lazy children who worked there before and warranted a 2 out of 5 star review! Tonight, however, very good kids and they did an amazing job making my pizzas!! To the new girl.. you got this babygirl!! I will be back at this location again!!! Thanks Papa Murphys! This crew redeemed the brand for you in my eyes!!! And as you can see… Plenty of great pizza leftover and ready for 3 minutes in my air fryer later!!! WELL DONE YALL!!!

My children and I love going here to pick up personalized pizzas using our EBT/SNAP/Food Stamps card. Everything they sell is purchasable using that card and free items can even be earned using the card for purchasing. The chocolate chip cookie dough is very good though hardly any of it actually gets made into cookies using the oven… The flavor of the gluten-free crust isn’t my favorite as it changes the taste of the pizza itself. I’d love it if they had caffeine-free, diet soda which wasn’t diet Coke. The Mini Murph pizza kits for children are a lot of fun and you can keep the little pizza box to use in a child’s kitchen playset since the ingredients are prepackaged and don’t touch the inside of the box.
