In the past I’ve ordered a tray of meatballs (the meatballs and sauce are delicious!) with extra sauce and no cheese. Today I called to place the order and, after being placed on hold I was told I couldn’t have extra sauce. “Meatballs already come with one pound of sauce.” I asked if I could pay more, I don’t mind being charged. Emma repeated “They already come with one pound of sauce.” I asked how I could get more sauce, only to be told I couldn’t. Eventually she said the tray didn’t have the capacity for extra sauce. I can kinda understand that- I’ve worked in pizza kitchens before so I get capacity issues. However, in my experience today there was a lack of problem solving and she seemed impatient with my request. I wanted to know if I could get some sauce on the side. “No, meatballs already come with one pound of sauce.” Why can’t I buy a container of sauce on the side? Or why can’t you give me one less meatball to make room for extra sauce in the tray? Why is it a problem today when it hasn’t been a problem in the past? I picked up my meatballs. They kinda look like they have less sauce than usual. I will make the best of this frustrating situation.
