This was our first time here and it was October 22nd. It was decorated yet had a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious and unlike most Pizza places the pizza was not greasy. It was also freshly made. I would definitely recommend. We got 2 Pizzas, a cheese and a pepperoni.

This evening I ordered a “Chicago deep dish” the gentleman on the other line had to ask the other employee what it was? Which tells me 1)he is a new employee or 2) hadn’t been there long for someone to have ordered a deep dish. We ordered a deep dish with sausage, onion and green pepper. I only gave this a 4 star review because the pie was still exceptional! However, had I rated it by a traditional deep dish pie? I’d have rated it a 2, and souly on the flavor. We were given WAY too much cheese. Little to no sauce. We wanted a pie full of sauce, a good amount of cheese and to taste the topping. Again, WAY TOO much cheese. I havent eaten at Papa’s and many years. Not a disappointment but please! Make sure employees know what a traditional deep dish expectations should be♡ We will order again regardless

If you like really great tasting pizza, Italian bread, sandwiches, etc., this is a great place. Ambiance is simple and the same as it has been for years. They seem to do a very good take out biz too. No alcholic beverages served, however I survived just fine!

Ordered a large pep and mushroom deep dish pizza. There was 1/2 inch of cheese on the pizza, all i could taste was the salt from the cheese and a little sauce. I should also add that their deep dish crust was about as thick as a hand tossed pizza from any other pizza place, the breading under the toppings was about 1/8 inch thick about as thin as a thin crust pizza. If you take 70% of the cheese off it tastes good as long as you weren’t looking for a deep dish pizza.
