I didn’t deal with any workers cause I ordered off Grub Hub; so I can’t comment on customer service. But THE FOOD… omg! I ordered Mac, dressing, greens, & sweet potato’s. Baby you can tell they care about what they serve cause everything was FULL OF FLAVOR & it was generous portions for only $11 a plate. Strong recommend.

I visit Gary frequently and this has become my spot. Keisha does a great seasoned mac n cheese and the cheesecake is simple and fabulous. Haven’t had a bad item off the menu yet! Also worth mentioning that the prices are good for the amount you get. See you guys Saturday! 🙂

Terrible customer service. Called in an order went to pick it up and the door of the place was locked. Me and my husband weren’t allowed in yet some women, carrying an alcoholic beverage was able to walk in and out as she pleased. Not a good look. Also when we pulled up to the place the woman who claimed she was “cooking” the food was sitting and having a casual conversation with some other person who was allowed in the restaurant even me and my husband were not.

I’m a first time customer and I must say this is the worst place I been to in Gary. Not only did a wait a hour and 15 min after being told it would take 28 to 30 min to cook. But I also was given a small portion of food that a toddler can eat itself. Speaking of toddler they had one running around as they were cooking and don’t you supposed to have a hair net this place is so unsanitary it’s crazy. You got workers texting on their phone with the same glove they using to cook. One call and this place is closed that’s a given fact. How do you take a whole hour and 15 min and I was the only order at the time? Oh I forgot because the whole crew went on break at the same time. Like c’mon who’s the boss over this place? I’m definitely making a call. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! One more thing where is the menu boards? Complete emptiness straight whole in the wall place foreal.

I drive from LaPorte indiana to get my friends southern soul food. The fried salmon, perch, catfish they said was amazing especially the crust. The dressing, sweet potatoes, greens, mac and cheese, potato salad, carmel slice and lemon cake was purchased deliciousness. Now my friend when I visit her in Chicago make me take her there.

Cornbread to sweet and brittle Jiffy mix. Greens canned fried catfish to soft and moist. Really not good soul food wouldn’t waste my money again. Everyone who thinks they need a restaurant shouldn’t have one. Don’t believe these five star reviews from they’re family and friends food is awful. Reminds you of no soul food you ever had.

They do have some good food there the seafood platter I would not recommend I have done potatoes and for the price of $60 you have more potatoes and broccoli did anyting two pieces of crab in 10 shrimp and they never open on a regular basis

Horrible customer service. The woman who answered the phone was unprofessional and rude. The cashier loud and yells at customers he shouldn’t the first that greets when you walk in. I stood there for 5 min and no one acknowledged me. Worst place ever.
