It was our first time trying out Malaysian cuisine and the experience was quite nice. The fish balls and the beef satay were great starters. The slow cooked beef Rendang was made well and served nicely on a banana leaf. The Hainanese fried chicken tasted good, however the sauce made it a bit too salty for our tastebuds. The salted egg prawns was one of my favorite dishes. With the above being said, we didn’t like the Assam fish item all that much. The service there was prompt, friendly, and helpful. Our server was super nice and courteous. He offered valuable suggestions as well. Our experience at PappaRich was definitely a decent intro to Malaysian cuisine.

When you are craving Malaysian food, but too far or too broke to go for the real thing in KL, Penang, etc. Every time I go the service has been excellent. This place is a better option than other Malaysian restaurants in the Houston area. Nasi lemak and roti canai are my go to.

I wanna try Malaysian food for a long time but someone always says “No” and I left that person at home. He should be really regreted coz this restraurant is SOOOO GOOD. I abviously ordered too much but none of dish failed me especially the beef skewer, tender and chewy. The satay falvor is very traditionaland authentic. Ms. M likes chicken skewer better but I prefer beef. The seafood rice noodle is very good too. I don’t like HK flat rice noodles in soup. It’s too thin so gets mushy very quickly but theirs is not.

A clean little restaurant with delicious Malaysian food. Although portions were a tad small but the taste was wonderful. I got the Nasi Lemak chicken curry and sambal shrimp rice platter. Would come back and recommend to others.

PappaRich has great customer service. Our waitstaff was very attentive. I had the seafood Char Kwai Teow. It was very yummy. The portion size was great. The use of spices were great. I prefer hot spices, but this wasn’t hot at all. That’s my only complaint, but I’m not sure if that’s common to Malaysian cuisine or not.

We met friends from Malaysia for dinner. They recommended dishes to order. The food was prepared marvelously. A graphic description would be finger linking good. Our friends also liked the food and thought that it really tasted authentic. The waitress was polite and helpful. The restaurant was clean. The ambiance was friendly and enjoyable. We have already made plans to visit again with some other friends and our son who is a connoisseur of Asian food.

Great food, plenty of seats, and the service is good. The food comes quick and the prices for each dish hover around $15-20. The tofu tasted amazing. If you like Chinese cuisines, then you’ll like this place – a lot of the dishes have a similar flavor/taste. Would recommend!

Had a variety of dishes including beef curry, chicken curry, fried Hainese chicken, (baked) Hainese chicken, chicken wings, spinach, eggplant, and more. Most, especially the fried chicken, beef curry, chicken curry, and roti were excellent. The rotis were lightly browned and savory, the beef curry was tender and savory, and the fried chicken was delicious – not a trace was left. Restrooms were clean.

The beef rendang is to die for!! The chicken roti app is also delicious. I would absolutely come back here!! The coffee/tea drink was a little strong for me, but I’m glad I tried it. The service was excellent, and there is plenty of parking around.
