Great counter-service barbecue — we ordered pulled pork sliders for my youngest, plus ribs and sliced brisket. The ribs were the highlight for me, and what I would order next time. The sliced brisket was unusual – very thin slices, more similar to deli meat than the traditional Texas slices you might expect. Good flavor, but not my preference. The sides and desserts are all excellent, and a shout out to the sauces, which are really delicious and not too sweet, which is one thing I see at a lot of mediocre barbecue joints. Recommend!

Got a full slab and split with my wife. Baby backs were fresh off the smoker, seasoned & glazed. Very tender. I’m more of a St. Louis style rib kinda guy. We got the potato salad and baked beans. The sauces were ok, but after mixing original with the spicy, that’s my winner.

Ribs were dry. Burnt ends were dry. Pulled pork was dry. I think it’s because the meat sits unwrapped in the warmer. Hoodoo sauce made the ribs really good. Flavor was solid, not spectacular. Sides were good. I liked the slaw, potato salad, and green beans. Corn bread is dry. It’s “good”, not great or the best. We’re happy though. Service was good, but the cashier was hard to comprehend.

I ordered the burnt ends which were stellar. The cornbread was great. Pappy’s Original Sauce is spot on. My daughter ordered the smoked turkey sandwich and enjoyed it. She said she never likes baked beans much but their baked beans were incredible. We both liked the fire and ice pickles as well. The staff were very friendly and brought us a water bowl outside for our dog, which we appreciated. It was also nice that they had outside seating. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. It was a great experience.

If you’re driving through from Memphis or Kansas City and want to taste what real BBQ is like, this is the spot. Such a great spot for lunch. The service was exceptional. I am so glad that Pappy’s has a spot in St Charles county. Just as good as the downtown location without the extreme crowds. I like this location better than Bogarts in Soulard as well. My favorite sauce is to mix the original with the sweet.

Best ribs I’ve ever had. Wife said the burnt ends were amazing and the brisket was good. BBQ sauces were fantastic and flavorful – a perfect match for the meat.

Ordered the ribs with cornbread and baked beans. We got the full slab and was able to feed 2 people. The ribs were good but a bit salty for me. I bet using a sauce could balance it out. I really liked the cornbread, it was like a sweet cake. The staff was friendly and helpful. Solid place to fulfill the BBQ cravings.

Went to new location and it is nice but not same atmosphere as their downtown location! Brisket wasn’t tasty and had gristle ! Pulled pork was good though! It was freezing inside and our food got cold fast! We asked to turn the air down and the waitress said she would but totally blew us off! All the customers were freezing!

I like Pappy’s downtown. So we tried this place. The food was good. The staff was very friendly. And was clean.

Tough to rate this. The food was great, that is a easy 5. The knock in rating was the staff. Being from out of state, we were looking forward to trying a place we heard so much about. This experience was diminished as we showed up an hour before closing. Which we did not know of the adjusted hours until arriving. However, as we were eating as well as other guests in the business , the crew started to wrap up the day as we sat there. They basically did a last call on tea as they were going to pour it out, hovered around us at the table waiting for us to look done to take a tray and turned off the music. Basically we were treated like a inconvenience at this point and it was still 10 to 15 minutes before their listed closing time. Again, the food was great but the atmosphere due to staff left more to be desired.
